The story is in every single channel, 5-10 minutes of coverage almost every hour. The talk is an insessant declaration that his career is over, that he's a bigot, that he is a monster, blah, blah, blah.

This is the same media that coddled(s) the following (just a few examples):
Robert Downey Jr.
R. Kelly
Winona Ryder
Louis Farrakhan
Malik Shabazz
Roman Polanski
Patrick Kennedy
Al Sharpton
etc.

Of course, the media either accepts their apology unconditionally, or protects them from scrutiny for their own purposes. This is a disgrace.

Mel Gibson issues what sounds like a very sincere and contrite apology, reaching out for help, and it is cast aside and made fun off. I'm sickened that our country has become this.

Mel Gibson isn't a raging Liberal and he made a really stupid statement. It is a good way to take away from the ant-Semites in Congress

Keep in mind that your maintream media is run by Jews. It definitely benifits them any time they can show any form of anti-semitism, especially from someone as famous and popular as Mel Gibson.

Mel, whether antisemite or not, has a right to speak his mind or have his belief system (no matter how screwed up or right it might be). This is a free country. He has the right to have a few beers and party with hot chicks if he wants. The law is in place to stop him from Driving Under the Influence....which it did. His wife and conscience are in place to convict and punish him for partying with hot chicks. As a society we need to understand what our freedoms are, how far they go, and where they end.

We have a freedom of speech, press, and religion. All are wonderful things. The limits of each are debatable, but in a free society...every mans limits or freedoms must end where another persons freedoms begin. We have the right to our opinions and beliefs and have the right to practice them and publish them until we trod upon someone elses freedoms to do the same.

See, as usual, people are not getting the entire story. The man made a movie about Christ and was withstood by the Jewish powers dominating Hollywood. The man lived under extreme stress because he made a movie about Christ. Why? Cause Jews hate Christianity. See, the bigotry started there, with Jewish hatred. Who are they to try and stop or pressure Mel for making a movie about Christ? They did just that. It was they who started the stress on his life. That stress was building up and hurting his career in a city dominated by Jews. When he got drunk, all of that stress just poured on out.

How does Hollywood become dominated by Jews? Who gets a movie? Who gets a promo? Who gets advanced? Why so many Jewish actors getting jobs? Are Jews promoting Jews, to the hurt of other non-Jews? Why am I anti-Semitic for pointing out bigotry?

Mel was not an anti-Semite. If he is now, surely, it's the Jews doing. How is a man supposed to respond to pressure like that? Except to hate them. (and still Mel doesn't hate them) And again, why do Jewish people have such a dominating stronghold over all the media and so many other areas of our lives?

You're predictable.I'll give you that.

I was wondering after the story broke how long would it be until good 'ol screwedinthehead with come out with an apology for Gibson loaded with false disgust.

4 days.A little late. What happened, did mom take away your computer privileges for a few days?

YOU are the disgrace.YOU have a soft spot for hatemongering and it has made you post this garbage. The media does NOT accept "every other apology".

Mel Gibson will survive. If Mel Gibson wants to act like a jackass in public he should expect that it is not going to be tolerated.

I'm sure Mel Gibson's alcoholism didn't make him go on about Jews. I don't think that alcoholism is a cause of anti-semitism.

They all do it for the media exposure. mel ison a down turn and needs attention. Most of us would not even know of his DUI without his or his agents leaking it out.
cops have no business or reason to single out and hold a press conference to anounce they had charged someone with DUI just because he or she was an actor, trouble maker or other media related person. It is usually that person's intention to grab the media's attention/

Mel Gibson's career is over. More than half of all Hollywood producers are Jewish. That being the reality..he better look for that retirement home now.

what an outstanding idea. jesus could be performed by ability of an particularly camp actor, with a spangly toga and little lighting fixtures in his crown of thorns, the whipping scene could be set to music with the phillistines dancing contained in the historic past. god the possiblilities. take a renowned man or woman

I think it's because of his movie, "The Passion." There was a LOT of controversy surrounding that movie. And then he goes and says a bunch of bad stuff about Jews. It's his own damn fault. He should have held his tongue. BUT this whole thing wont keep me from watching his movies....he's human, he made a huge mistake, and hopefully he will learn from it.

Because the world got tired of hearing about Britney/Kevin and the ongoing search for Tom & Katie's baby.
Oh...and hey...let's not forget about good old Dick Cheney's shotgun follies.
