When will the rest of the world wake up?

I mean we read and hear of many people discrediting and disclaiming Bush and many ridicule him in public and in public forums yet when Dixie Chicks do this some sort of patriotic rage comes out and Dixie Chicks is looked down upon. I'm not their fan b/c I don't listen to their music but I'm trying to figure out the logic here. Maybe there is something they did I do not know about that is extremely different and vulgar than what most of our citizens already are to our Pres.... I just want to know.
Serious question and i would like an objective answer.

Thanks!

the guy shows up, poor, ravaged, still scared by the Holocaust, no place else to go. he pitches himself a little tent in the corner and doesn't bother anyone.
but instead of taking it up with the police, you take a baseball bat to the homeless man. now he's mad at you, because he was told he could stay there. whose fault is it when he breaks your bat?

What am I missing from this list of the archetypal narrow-minded republican?

The U.S. = best, white, money, Jesus, victims of terrorism
Weapons are good. Wars are necessary. France surrenders. Global warming is a conspiracy. Speak English. Israel is a victim. Don't travel much. Big business will solve everything. All muslims are terrorists. All independent latin americans are commies. Soccer sucks... what else... help me out?

If these people pooled all their money together, they could probably tackle all of these problems without waiting for a Democratic President to address them.

PS I consider myself a Democrat and I'm constantly ashamed of being associated with these inane celebrities.

No really I mean it. I am looking for anyone's take on this. Would the world be in a better or worse position now if there were no United States?

please don't say you would "use diplomacy" or "take it to the global leaders." seriously. I'm looking for specifics. what real ideas do you have? not being cheeky, I really want to know. we're hearing a lot of rhetoric from back-seat drivers saying they could handle it better. I'm asking how. I admit Bush is fumbling, like he doesn't know what to do. but don't focus on criticizing him. focus on your ideas.

Imo spreading democracy in Iraq is not a good enough reason to spend 8 billion per month in war costs. That being said there is no reason good enough that involves American best interests to continue to fight. So..if the war was to eliminate threat..and the threat has since been elimintated..WHY ARE WE STILL THERE???

Thats like keeping the Raiders offense on the field after the game is over...go home and celebrate.

Terrorism is described as delebritely targeting civillians....so if the Palestinians blow up a Israeli army base (highly unlikely I know) and there are no civillian casualties but many Israeli soldires are wounded or die would you consider this a terror attack or not since they went after the military

im glad israel is once again taking action to defend themselves militarily in the middle east. The more they allow the terrorists to take the more they are going to take. They have to take it to the terrorists and show them who is stronger. Israel faces EXTREME hate from all of their muslim neighbors but they are not going to halt for anyone in defending themselves. If muslim terrorists think guerilla warfare and kidnapping are propper ways to settle a dispute then israel has every right to bomb the hell out of them. Was anyone else irritated to see these muslim leaders crying to the UN in this situation?
