please don't say you would "use diplomacy" or "take it to the global leaders." seriously. I'm looking for specifics. what real ideas do you have? not being cheeky, I really want to know. we're hearing a lot of rhetoric from back-seat drivers saying they could handle it better. I'm asking how. I admit Bush is fumbling, like he doesn't know what to do. but don't focus on criticizing him. focus on your ideas.

Okay, cirque_de_lune, here ya go:

Under a UN disarmament resolution all persons are to disarm of all military weapons exciding the size of a standard issue police style side arm. There are to be no ketusha rockets, no AK-47s, no M-16s, No AR-15s, and no FNFALs.

The nation is split into two sectors. Each sector is separated by a one mile wide demilitarized zone. Anyone in the DMZ caught with any type of weapon is arrested for war crimes and can spend the rest of his miserable life in the Siberia.

Anyone wishing to remain in the southern portion of Lebanon bordering Israel has to pledge to their God, that they will not engage in any activity which will crate hostilities with Israel.

The DMZ areas are to be patrolled by UN peace keepers who have orders to take whatever action is required to keep the peace.

The UN forces at the Lebanon - Israeli border are to be comprised of Pilipino, Japanese, and Canadian forces.

The UN forces patrolling the rest of the region are to be from Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and Egypt. They would be sensitive to the demands of the religious community in which they are working.

The Lebanese Christian population would be encouraged, enticed, and persuaded to move south toward the border to act as a buffer between Israel and Lebanon. They would, however, not be forced to move. The same with the Muslim in the south moving north and away from Israel.

At the same time, the corruption of the Lebanese secular government has to be addressed and eliminated so that the Lebanese do not have to rely on Hezbollah for a stable internal government.

That is it in a nut shell. I have left out some details, but I think you can get the gist of the situation.

First I dont relate to any political party. I think the right thing to do is demand Israel to stop bombing since she is an ally, right. Second get UN troops in lebanon and arrest terrorists, bring them to international court. Fix the buildings, roads, and the airport in Lebonon. And get some UN troops in Gaza as well if there is more problem.

Put the squeeze on Iran and Sierra. They are funding Hezbollah. The problem is the this administration has us tied up in a war over oil, and we don't have the ability to invade a country we should have been looking at in the beginning. I mean we are fighting a war on terrorist, then why didn't we go after the countries like Iran who control and fund Hezbollah and Hum-mas.

Noone can handle this crisis except for the parties involved. Some things in this world just are and always will be. As long as Israel exists there will never be any peace in that region. There will only be down period as there have been since 1956.

I hope bush sends Condoleezza Rice to the Middle East to engage with the moderate Arab nations . Bolton represented us well when he vetoed the UN resolution that put all the blame on Israel. I support Israel's right to rid the world of the Hezbollah terrorists. THEIR war is justified. Our's is not.

You people are retarded... sheesh.

Behing the scenes
Forget Iran for now- they won't listen to anything plus we've got enough problems with them.

Get to Asaad-- send a strong message that they need to quit.

Tell israel to back off on Beirut and civilian areas. Hammer the south and known Hezbolah areas.

Once things calm down, get Mosad to start picking off hezbohal leaders one by one. Find out where their arms are and channels they get them from. Take 'em out.

Tell lebanon to get a backbone and shut down Hezbolah like they were supposed to.

The democrats would do nothing....see they hate violence and seeing anyone defend themselves. The hate the military and have never used it to it's full potential.

They would just sit and bash Israel's right to defend itself.

Sad, isn't it?

The Meek shall inhert nothing.
