So? Is shushing the press means he's confident about what he's doing? Or it means he knows that he and his administration are nothing but failure and they don't want the people to know anything about the crimes commited by the soldiers in Iraq and by the administration inside America?

I believe that under the circumstances, Bill Clinton did a lot to disgrace the office he held and that he was not the most effective president. I saw Al Gore as a "YES MAN" who shadowed Clinton.

Bush, on the other hand, I respect and admire personally. I think he surrounds himself with capable people and makes difficult if unpopular decisions daily. If you're fair, almost every decision he's made are what you would have done at the time given the information he had to work with.

Let me know what you think and try to be honest and open minded.

17 terroro suspects were arrested before anything went wrong and the US jumped all over us for being a security risk. They have had outright attacks - I think they got it wrong our police forces are showing they catch before it happens - maybe the US could come here and learn somthing about policing?

Osama might be a real person but his role is made up and he is used by the US foriegn dept liberally as the best ememy they ever had. Someone had to replace the big bad Russians

The debt (national) is based on an anciently old formula of one dollar equals one product and when an excess of money is circulated it is called a loan so that the ratio of dollar to prodcuct remains 1 to 1 In any real sense the debt is a made up entity that only exist on paper.

Banks who charge interst on loans and insurance companies and manufactureing plants(big ones) dictate the foriegn policy of the US and the government has become thier representitive. When big busness needs somthing they call George up and the planes roll - to protect US coperate expantionisim

There is no one cohesive group or entity amongst the coperations and the resulting power struggles and compitition make things very confusing - but at the end of the day someone gets hurt. It's only better in Canada because we are small

The US has an arch enemy.........Osama. He can't be found and only goes to coutries that Bush wanted to bomb This must be the best thing in the world for the foriegn affairs dept a blank check to bomb anyone as long as the crazy Arab is spotted by a one eyed granny after dark - the planes are on the way -If they made him up they made him up decades ago but if he does exist - he's in the ackyard of the white house with an exotic sounding drink in his hand asking George where he's shotting hios next tape from.

So am I nuts or did the US just make up the most incredible enemy ever?

The UN never does anything good for the world, theres always scandals that it is involved in, it puts countrys like Saudi Arabia and Cuba on the human rights council (which are 2 countries that have little human rights itself), and it insults america and I still never heard an offical apology.

It just seems like a waste to me. The UN is a joke and may be Ameriac shouldn't fund it anymore.

what do you think?

Why would "conservatives" trade their liberty for what would be perceived as "security"?

Why would you rather not know if YOUR government is being honest and forthright with you?

Why do you think your god is on your country's "side"?

Why do you think the men who founded the US would agree with what this administration is doing?

Answers would be apreciated. Stupid, childish comments will be ignored, so don't bother patting yourselves on the back for them.

Country A has a large well funded military and is sending missiles into residential areas randomly killing people in their homes. Country B has rag tag army and does its best to defend itself. they fight back when their women and children are massacred by the dozens. Country A destroys the infrastructure of B's cities and prevents its inhabitants from going to work or buyiing food. Country A invades Country B and levels their farms and destroys their agriculture.

Country B is prevented from rebuilding and has its democratically elected government leaders slaughtered. who would you support and defend?

Sudan? Darfur? Yeah, Kofi Annan was here mths ago begging for us to help. Why not the UN? Well, France (amongst other countries) has blocked any actions.

Why is US hesitant? The Iraq debacle, and repurcussions (aka: whole world pissed at us), has led US to not intervene.

So, whats deal with France/Germany rest of Europe not helping? $$$$..they are tied to rebels in Sudan. Any other insights on this?

Hasn't any body noticed that the GOP(GRAND OPPRESSION PARTY) does things just like Islam extremist such as forcing their religous beliefs on others and they refuse to create better social programs to help the working poor and middle class,if they would get their heads out of their buts that might realize going socialist would lower crime. look at the canadian and european crime rates much lower than ours. I think ir is time for a Regime change in the USA.
