Sudan? Darfur? Yeah, Kofi Annan was here mths ago begging for us to help. Why not the UN? Well, France (amongst other countries) has blocked any actions.

Why is US hesitant? The Iraq debacle, and repurcussions (aka: whole world pissed at us), has led US to not intervene.

So, whats deal with France/Germany rest of Europe not helping? $$$$..they are tied to rebels in Sudan. Any other insights on this?

Yeah. The UN is just another welfare organization with a lot of no-goods begging, or actually demanding now, for all our protection, food, money, etc., without having to put anything into the kitty in return. France and Germany are perfect examples of welfare recipients who've gathered some wealth from all that welfare and don't like to remember that a simple "thank you" to the US would be noble. But then that would "stain" their ungodly egos. It's good to hear that the reality of the UN and its welfare recipients isn't forgotten. Keep focused on what you know. YOUR knowledge will be necessary for US to stop losing so much money on useless international welfare. God Bless you.
