In one case, convicted middlemen for Iran bought Tomcat parts from the Defense Department's surplus division. Customs agents confiscated them and returned them to the Pentagon, which sold them again — customs evidence tags still attached — to another buyer, a suspected broker for Iran.

That incident appalled even an expert on weaknesses in Pentagon surplus security controls.

We spent money on that war too. And the Croatians signed with Hitler? And when they came here, many infiltrated as soccer players and athletes defected, but then they were arrested for gun smuggling to the South American Countries, and to the Arabic countries too? Why is it that we don't realize that these people were aiding the enemy? And yet they fought the Serbian who was a muslim, but that was only for territory in their own land, what is the big picture? Do we in America trust the Croatian because he is a Christian and white? ha ha That is as bad as trusting Hitler!

President Bush’ call to increase the American military commitment in Iraq ran intense congressional opposition Thursday from democrats and from moderate republicans who expressed profound skepticism. A day after the president set out a new strategy for bringing stability to Iraq , the white house found few allies on either side of the aisle when secretary of state Condoleezza rice appeared before the senate foreign relations committee. The reception she received suggested that Mr. Bush’s prime-time address to the nation on Wednesday had done little to build political support for sending additional troops to Baghdad. I think what occurred her today was fairly profound. 21 members, with one or two notable exceptions, were expressing outright hostility or disagreement with the president’s proposal, the committee’s new democratic chairman, Senator Joseph r. Biden Jr. of Delaware, said at the conclusion of Ms. Rice testimony. In Canada every branch of government has downloaded services to the next level and then they download to the cities or municipalities and your taxes go sky high. Is this happening everywhere or just in Canada, especially Ontario, where property taxes have gone up 100% over the last 5 years. Are governments unable to say no to some services? That is why they were created to say yes to some things and no to other things. Today however they just seem to be able to say yes to everything and increasingly they are robbing people blind. We should be demanding less government and letting them know it is alright to say no to some services.
