In Canada every branch of government has downloaded services to the next level and then they download to the cities or municipalities and your taxes go sky high. Is this happening everywhere or just in Canada, especially Ontario, where property taxes have gone up 100% over the last 5 years. Are governments unable to say no to some services? That is why they were created to say yes to some things and no to other things. Today however they just seem to be able to say yes to everything and increasingly they are robbing people blind. We should be demanding less government and letting them know it is alright to say no to some services.

Governments are spending so much on anything but mostly for those who are lazy. Those paying taxes must not be burdened by the lazy guys.

You can't really ask that about all the US because each state has their own constitution under the US Constitution. Tax rates differ from state to state. ie: California/Michigan. HUGE difference. Someone like me could never survive in California... but in Michigan or Ohio, I could.
All the states rob their people blind, but alot of it gets allocated to different branches. This past Nov election, we voted to increase the taxes for the forestry services, and that must go into their degisnated fund to improve their programs and will be there when they have need. The state cannot just put it in the general fund to be spent anywhere else. Same with the counties and cities. They vote on millages for the schools. The gambling is sepearte and the casinos that are here are owned by the Indians. They use their money for their school system. So, each area is totally different.
We get back more money from the Federal Government, then the state to be sure, so we cannot take it out on them. They've given the middle class family tax cuts and we had received extra money back. I don't know about anyone else, but that certainly did help my family.

Yes they are for the reasons of their thoughts of progress. We have these fortune tellers in these political positions, that tell us statistics and then they start spending and spending never asking us can we afford it and never raising the minimum wage.
They are trying to get rid of the poor and the middle class entirely. It is sad but true, that is why gambling has been a last stab here in America to make tycoons out of the poor to a least give some a chance to live. I see the ovens getting closer myself.

soooo do it u answered ur quest except yes in ohio ne we have been taxed over and over and the new gov monies for schools has gone wayside one.five million the council people gave out of gov funds to businesses that are self owned rebate taxes they make the money in our small town it goes on and on now were short on finishing schools and being sued the people who took the money and now everyone doesnt know what to do at least eighty people in this city no if the gov makes money they dont say no
