I'm sorry my friend that has been going on for decades. And it is just one more sign that we are spiraling downward. What's worse is that these young people are going to be running things in a few years. They will be the managers you complain to. And they will be the ones in our state capitals and in our nations capital deciding what do with this great nation of ours, and they won't even know what the Constitution is all about. Personally I am shopping for a cave somewhere. Because these are the good old days. Now that's scary.(grin)

Sometimes, yes. Especially in those stores that play loud music. I read somewhere that young people go through a period where their brain cells don't all work (hormone overload) so it's not all just attitude. There was one young woman in my neighborhood bakery who actually screamed at me because I put all the bags of pastries and breads I wanted to buy on the counter at the same time--because I didn't know I was supposed to wait for her permission so she could weigh each bag without getting them mixed up (or something). I didn't have time to deal with her supervisor but I left a scathing review on the city's review page (food was aces but service might drive customers away extremely fast since there are other bakeries) and the next time I went in, she was gone and all clerks have been very helpful. However, on the other hand, there are some young people who seem to have a great grasp on reality and are a delight to work with, to deal with, and they give me hope for the future of the human race (although I sure am glad I won't live long enough to have to deal with the problems that generation creates for itself in the future).

I agree. To add to this their personal hygiene is also going down the tubes. I went to Walmart over the weekend and a girl at the cash register had red hair, nose ring, and hickeys on her neck. So some of these places are allowing these type of kids to work for them.

haha. Yeah, I agree, some of the young people are kind of jerks. I know one guy i worked with thought that all young people had horrible work ethics until he saw me and my co-worker being first ones in and last ones out of our job every day. There are a lot of young people that are willing to work and polite. I doubt that it will kill the economy, just make going to some places a little less pleasant. People still need stuff.

You're absolutely 100% right on the nose. Today's kids are regarded as "Generation X". The worst of any generation. Their upbringing is that of the lowest standard ever. Their attitudes come from listening to too much rap, and they all seem to have an authority problem. They have no discipline what -so- ever.
That being said, this country is doomed.

No. But what I have noticed is people acting like the back ends of horses in public places towards employees when these employees try to uphold company policy. What I have noticed are people who think that the "customer is always right" idea is an excuse to treat employees like dirt.

Haha.. that's the funniest question I've read all day.
The problem isn't with young people... it's with society. We're so spoiled that young people think they deserve everything. It would behoove us all to care a little less about *stuff* and a little more about people, family, friends... Maybe then, young people would begin to value the same things and learn what real work is all about.

You know why young people are lazy and rude at their jobs? Because of smug-*** republicans like you. You are killing the economy not them.

Yes the Younger generation have no sense of belonging... they should not have these jobs that they are so ungrateful for... if they cannot keep focused on these jobs they should just leave.
