I really don't think he should be and here's why. I really don't think that the majority of white people in the United States would vote for black man, and especially considering that he has a Muslim father, I'm sure the republicans will smear that all over the media in order to destroy Obama's image. At this point American cannot afford to lose another election to the Republicans.

How can the Americans and British condemn and vilify the Iranians and Syrians for sponsering terrorism when the British sponsered Loyalist paramilitarys in Ireland for decades and the Americans sponser the occupation of Palestine and the slaughter of women and children in Palestine by Israel..the world biggest terrorists.?

Every word i hear and read from the American and British Goverments is so hypocritical its almost funny..

The world has gone mad and needs to change. Individuals can make a difference as it is individuals that have started all movements. Martin Luther for one there are many others that have made a difference. So would you like to join a revolution to help change the world or do you assume that because I am asking this on answers that I must be doomed to failure or are you arrogant and want to belittle everyone elses ideas because it makes you feel smarter than everyone? If he made a panel like the Baker Panel for the Iraq War except for global warming. Have the best minds on global warming like Al Gore, enviromentalists, and college proffessors gather on global warming. They could come up with a cause and what the US could do to lessen global warming. Also what would happen if what were doing now for the environment continued in 25 years? 50 years? a century?

Also I think his mentality is more focused at being a world statesman. I think being just a British Prime Minister and matters at home don't interest him. Whenever he's on the world stage he has always got a spring in his step though

We see our rights as Americans being eroded day after day by government and big business who craft their own interests into neat little law-worded wrappers to get slipped into law.Or, maybe some cleaver person hides a law deep in a bill (that is never fully read by congress) and we find out about it later when it's exercised. Bit by bit our freedoms are eroded and we don't seem to care because it was only a small thing, a very small thing. But as the old saying does "Each journey begins with a single step" and we've hit the road long ago and are a ways down it.We let semantics twist the intent of law,moving more and more away from it's original purpose with each ruling.This bill for example (http://politics.netscape.com/story/2007/01/17/congress-preparing-to-criminalize-critics-senate-bill-would-create-most-expansive/ ) is another step. Bush just fired 7 U.S. attorneys for no reason , who were investigating corruption,and replaced them. What will it take to wake up before it's 2 late?

Do you think that our government's social security just says no at the first 2 levels to wear many down to avoid making entitlement payments to people that actually need them? I wonder why there is so much worry about having hearings to embarras the other political party more than our congress worrying about the psople they need to vote them into office. Are you aware that the attorneys are limited to the amount they can make, regardless the time spent to defend a client to get benifits? Is that to try to reduce the amount of attorneys want to defend people needing the help in the claim of trying to keep most of the money for the client? I heard in Ohio 97% of claims are denied at the 1st level to those that dont have any representation? Personally I think thats horrific.If there is a "just say no" dept, how can any indivdual do such a thing to people in such a thing to another person, just to collect a paycheck? And yet we worry about everyone else in the world but our own!
