If he made a panel like the Baker Panel for the Iraq War except for global warming. Have the best minds on global warming like Al Gore, enviromentalists, and college proffessors gather on global warming. They could come up with a cause and what the US could do to lessen global warming. Also what would happen if what were doing now for the environment continued in 25 years? 50 years? a century?

Okay maybe not Al Gore but look how many people listened to An Inconvient Truth. Because people know who he is i don't know who some professor of some big college in climate change is.

As Blazin' 22 said the US should start worrying about domestic issues because our country is getting screwed up.

we need a president who will form those panels and be willing to listen to what they say. The several answers here that claim there is no such thing as global warming or those who say we have the best program to fight that, for example, are repeating what they have learned and have not looked into that for themselves and that is not what we need in a president. Those who have visited sites such as http://www.ucsusa.org know that there is global warming and that it does form a threat to us all but bush has apparently not been shown that information or, more probably, is ignoring it!

Not Al? What? He is the most passionate American on the subject (outside of the scientific community, of course).
We need Al.
If we elect Hillary (and I have NOT decided on the subject, even as a liberal feminist) certainly Al will have a great chance to do good things for the world, too. Hopefully, any Democrat elected will empower Al Gore.

Best Minds? Al Gore in the same sentence?
Global warming, 1989 Ted Danson said we would all be dead in ten years if nothing was done so, We are off the clock on the environment. The US has the best environmental policies in the world. Go to the third world countries for that.

How can you set up a panel for something that does not exist?

Sweet idea, not likely to happen if another Republican wins. It;'s not that they don't believe in global warming so much as they do not care. Greed and overflowing bank accounts make up for loads of clean air and healthy people.

Al Gore, is a good idea until your country gets another terrorist attack!
Believe me, the U.S has created enough enemies to last a generation.
I say GLEN BECK!

Having a president that it is intellectually curious would be welcome change. I like your idea.
