That is, now that we have the 110th Congress.
Give me whatever kind of input you like, but I feel the democrats will not stoop to the low level of republicans as to question the loyalty of large groups of people within our nation.
As we all know, the party who will be doing all the complaining has switched. Heck, republicans had no problem saying for years that all those fed up with the government hate our country. You know what that means? That means nearly 2/3 of the nation! Maybe they better rethink which one of the two major parties was acting Un-American?

I understand the Pro-choice & the Pro-life Arguments

I understand the Pro death penalty & anti death penalty arguments

I understand someone who is so hardened they think killing criminal & killing the unborn are no big deal

I understand someone who does not want to kill anything

What I can't understand is how one can be willing to kill the innocent unborn, but be unwilling to kill someone who is guilty of murder

Pelosi on National Security: I Surrender All

The late President Ronald Reagan once said, "Those who would sacrifice freedom for security have embarked on [a] downward path." Under the new Liberal leadership, this is the likely fate of America's defense policy. In an alarming provision of H.R. 1, a bill that claims to make the country "safer" since 9/11, liberals have rushed language to the House floor that would surrender a key aspect of our homeland security to the United Nations. At risk is the country's Proliferation Security Initiative (PSI) which allows America and its allies to intercept the transport of weapons of mass destruction (WMD) in international waters and on foreign soil. For four years, 14 countries have committed to work together in successfully disrupting the delivery of chemical, biological, and nuclear weapons. Rather than expand a program that has prevented the global distribution of WMDs, Democrats are asking Congress to relinquish all control of PSI to the United Nations. Allowing the Security Council of the U.N. to govern the program would jeopardize the intelligence, routes, and methods used to keep terrorists at bay--as well as complicate issues of American sovereignty. What's more troubling is that the Democrats are willing to defer our interest in national security to a body that counts Syria and Pakistan among its members. Despite the leadership's claims, this is one measure in a long line of legislation aimed at globalizing America's national security. For the safety of our liberties and our land, contact your representatives and urge them to vote "yes" on the Republican Motion to Commit on H.R. 1, which would remove this detrimental language from the policy.

Living in America, many times we just accept that we are a free nation, because we've heard it all our lives. Over the past ten years I've seen many of our freedoms slowly taken away in the name of security and many people are OK with this because they think they can sleep at night without fear of being taken over by some radical group. And yet, some would say that we ARE being taken over by some radical groups - just more slowly and less violently than feared - the theory of gradualism. If you put a frog in a pot of hot water, it will struggle to get out and die trying. But, if you put a frog in a pot of cool water and slowly turn the heat up - it will slowly boil to death - without a struggle.

He needs to take Cheney with him too because that apathetic nutcase isn't doing jack to help anyone either.
Our president just doesn't have the mental capacity to realize that we will soon be in deeper trouble if we do not work defensively and continue to only work offensively.
He and the do-nothing congress (good thing they are gone, and good thing for the new 100 hour plan) has failed to catch Osama, and Bush doesn't even care anymore.
http://thinkprogress.org/2006/09/14/barnes-osama/ (Fox News video and even they admit how the president feels about Osama)
He has failed the American people by enacting such improvident actions that it caused the threat of terrorism to increase on a global scale. Thanks for the massive debt, Mr. Bush. Now my great-great-great grandchildrens' era will have the honor of grossing enough capital to pay off the cost of this senseless war.

It is not WMD's. That was a secondary issue resulting from the primary reason.

It is also not oil.

It begs the question why is one of, if not the most important period in the country's history not being taught in schools. In fact it almost a taboo subject. History classes seem obsessed with the second world war and the holocaust and as a result are cheating our kids out of finding out who they are and what their background is.
