I could ask the question "Jesus is great... why do you think he's great?" and get 10 thumbs down from people (probably conservatives) that just didn't like my previous answers/questions...

people remember other questions and vote on that... it doesn't matter what you do today... only yesterday to some people...

Uh, hold on a second there. First of all, generalizing those who do not agree with you as "insecure left wing radicals" is insecure in itself. Second, I agree with many left wing principles, and I happen to take them very seriously. I read your question, and I didn't post an answer because a question like that is really impossible to define in my opinion. People on both sides of the political spectrum have their beliefs - whether it be about their own party or another party. It's interesting to hear one person's definition of a "liberal" or a "conservative," and 99/100 times you'll hear a different definition when you ask the same question to someone else. So while I respect your passion, please avoid generalisations. I think it's about time we all started trying to work together to find a common ground on the problems we face rather than spitting venom at each other. This country has been divided long enough, it has to stop.

Peace unto all.

now let me get this straight. Is someone who gives a thumbs down , by definition, a radical? If so, are they then by definition, a left-wing radical??. And, wow, if so, by definition, an INSECURE left-wing radical!!!! Wow. All that for disagreeing with some unstated , albeit "serious", question....
Does it also mean that a rightwing radical could never give a thumbs down? Or if he/she did, would they have to be secure, or can insecure rightwingers dissent also???
Boy, you've got me so confused, I don't know my political leanings, my state of security, or even my radicalness anymore...You are something else, man.

It is just a little thumbs down on a website. Is it really that important?

You said it right my friend. They do not have serious answers for serious questions.Their only recourse is mindless rhetoric and personal insults which not only shows their lack of intelligence but also their lack of creativety.
