spin spin spin. How do the Democrats plan on checking every container coming into our ports if the technology is not there? Think this might cause a bottle neck in our ports?

The legislation directs the Homeland Security Department to establish a system for inspecting all cargo carried on passenger aircraft over the next three years. It also requires scanning of all containers bound for the U.S., using the best available technology. Large ports would be given three years to comply, smaller ports five years.

Good within three to five years!

Instead of using what is referred to as a "strong-arm argument," I recommend watching closer as to what the Democrats do as a whole. The reason being there is a presidential election coming up in less than two years and a good portion of the decision will most likely be based on what Democrats, as a party, have done for the American people since they were voted in to make changes and fix our problems.

The Republicans are annoyed about the bill because they were not allowed to make any changes this time around, but the bill was recommended by 9/11 commission and as someone said before, even Bush wanted something similar.

it is often extra straightforward to whinge approximately the different element than to truly get stuff executed in Washington. it may be great if there replaced into relatively bipartisan paintings on genuine subject concerns. Washington has too lots dirt slinging and not adequate paintings being executed. Why do you think of each and every political candidate needs their immage to be as an "outsider" who's devoted to changing the prestige quo in DC. whilst elected, all of them grow to be an identical. With all this being mentioned, i like us of a of america and inspite of its political equipment's faults, there is not extra suited on the face of the Earth!!

They criticized the bill on the grounds that it is not a wise use of resources. I'm sure you know that. Throwing money is not always the best approach.

I see a lot of republican whining in that article and I love it. Now that the shoes on the other foot, let's see who does all the pissing and moaning. It's only going to make them look weak on security.

actually most parts of the anti-terroism bill were bush's idea and his original bill its just that the dem's blocked it and now they are pushing it through with a few additions/deletions and have made it their own. now lets see if they are really going to end this war or is it just more promises just to get elected.
