I'm starting to get really confused about the what's going on in Iraq. All I know is that most people are pretty nippy about Bush and are all hyped up about getting the soldiers out. But what's the goal we're trying to accomplish that's keeping us in Iraq? What was our original goal? What's been going on, and what's changed? Imagine that a century from now you're creating a chapter in a history text book about the Iraq War. What would you say?

Don't you think we could mitigate much of the hate by dividing the country into two nations, one could be all the states that voted for Bush and the other would be the states that voted for Kerry. Then we could all be happy and live in peace. But what to call the two new countries?

What is the point of politicians spouting green, green, green to brainwash us all, on our tiny overcrowded island, when the burning of the Indonesian Peat Bogs emits into the atmosphere in ONE DAY as much Carbon Dioxide as the UK emits in ONE YEAR!

Burning peat bogs set alight by rainforest clearance in Indonesia are releasing up to a seventh of the world's total fossil fuel emissions in a single year.

Handle that Gordon Brown and David Cameron before you start using CO2 as another way to lumber us with more taxes to fund your desired salary increases - of 66% - see link below!

Here is the Oxford definition of a nation.

A relatively large group of people organized under a single, usually independent and sovereign government; a country.

Quebec is neither independent (lost 2 times the referendum), neither a sovereign country.
At the very best it is only a distinct society.

Details are awesome.

I understand that many people do not agree that a government should provide health care to its citizens. However, I am writing debate speeches for both sides of the debate, and I need some arguments in agreement with the statement.

To clarify: provide means free health care, though taxation is probable. Remember that there is no right answer... Just what are some arguments for each side?

Thanks

Go to the FBI website and look at his profile. It states that he is wanted for some terrorist acts, but does not mention 9/11. When asked about this, the FBI was forced to admit they did not have the evidence. Knowing this why not look at more credible theories about 9/11

I'm getting tired of this Islamic version of peace! Having just read of yet another Indian Christian family gunned down by Militants.

Islamic peace means to subdue people to sharia law.

Why should the rest of us accept it!

Do we want peace or bullets?

I am 72 years old and continue to work and pay into SS. I have received benefits for eight years. Each year my check increases by a very small amount due to my continuing to pay into SS. However, I do not see any increase due to cost of living. Last year my 96 year old mother received a very large cost of living increase; I did not see a similar increase. How can I check to see if I am receiving cost of living increases on a regular basis?
