Bush had EVERY intention of bringing them home by summer 2008 otherwise no Republican would have been elected.

Bush and the Reptoids are not stupid. Eisenhower got us into Vietnam in the late 1950s, Dems Kennedy and Johnson esclated it and kept it going for 8 years and Nixon came in and cleaned up house and as a result of that and Iran the Reptoids ruled government since Reagan.

Do you think for one moment the Reptoids would let Deja Vu happen in reverse!

Congress will not pull the troops out, Bush will and the Reptoids will get the credit and the Dems will run lame candidates and probably lose again in 2008, but keep congress.

That's been my prediction for 3 years now.

Well, first of all, it's not guaranteed that Hilary Clinton is going to run in 2008. Second, we still have a lot of voters sheepish about the idea of having a 'First Gentleman' -- having a woman president is probably what will come after an African American president. Third, G.W. doesn't really care what others think; he does what he believes is right, whether or not anyone else does. Sometimes his choices are acceptable; sometimes his choices make him look seriously unstable. Either way, I don't think he cares because he's getting the presidential pension like his dad is (and Jeb's never getting one).

I love Hilary, but I dont think it is that simple. Maybe with Bush's insanity, we might have a Democrat President come out of 2008 election. But it will take A LOT to make Hilary US President. I'm not quite sure Americans are ready for a female president.

Personally, I think Hilary will rock the White House as the first female Prez.

First. enable's stop talking about "winning", this isn't a football recreation with defined parts, referees, and time-keepers. that is a international attempt to get a sturdy authorities in Iraq run with techniques from good and to blame those who opt for the perfect for his or her human beings. because Iraq were run with techniques from a vicious dictator, that creature had to be removed from power. After that replaced into finished, the UN forces there had to discover the right human beings to ensure and approve a piece of writing of authorities. This were performed. Then disabling factors entered the picture and that is the position we are now. once the elected authorities of Iraq can carry order to the country, they are going to now not favor the UN forces that are there and all outdoors international locations can get rid of their protection force gadgets. even as that purpose has been met, the time period "WIN" must be utilized.

No. It doesn't ensure anything except that our boys will be abroad longer and we will be less secure at home with no national guard.

As for hillary...I wish she would step aside and support obama. I think we will have an african-american as president before a female. (think - who was allowed to vote first, african-american or female?) Not saying she wouldn't do a good job, just that I always thought she would have less supporters.

No, it's going to depend on what the demo's do in the next 2 years and I don't think many want Hillary, she has such a trail of corruption and manipulation if she were to run for president the republicans will have a heyday bringing it out to light. And for the country to accept a woman president she would have to be flawless.

No I do not think that Bush's refusal to bring our boys home will effect who wins the election. As bad as it is, a woman president is not something I see in the future for our country. Bush has gotten a lot of bad press for the war on terror but I do not think that with him reaching his last years in his term, and with no possible way of getting back into office, the next presidential election is up in the air. Its a clean slate for them and Bush has just left plenty of issues for them to claim they will be able to fix.

No, because 2008 is a LONG way away. If there are significant improvements in Iraq and/or if there are significant troop reductions by November '08 (which is a strong possibility) the electorate forgets what a quagmire the GOP got us into, and how much money was unnecessarily spent and lives unnecessarily lost, and it will not become a major issue.

The next President will probably be a Democrat, but I doubt it'll be Hillary.
