How do the American people feel about the future plan to unite Mexico, Canada and the USA into one united North American Union (NAU), just like the European Union?

I thought people in the US wanted border security & limits on Mexican immigration. The North American Union proposes removing the US/Canada & US/Mexico borders and to allow unrestricted movement. Do USA citizens become citizens of the NAU?

I understand Bush signed America into the NAU in March 2005? This explains the refusal to secure the southern border. But will millions of Mexicans relocating to the US overload public services? What about national security?

How do Americans feel about a new currency? Are people in favour of the proposed replacement of the US dollar with the new Amero?

The NAU isn’t just a trade agreement. It seems to be much more radical.

If you don’t know about this, please don’t respond. I’m trying to learn from people that understand the NAU.

Every prediction/reason for NOT invading has become true. Destabilized Middle East, rise in terror recruits, sectarian violence, rejection of puppet government, resentment at being an occupying force, rejection of western "imposed" form of governance, quagmire, needless US troop dead, alienating allies, war profiteering.......etc yada yada yada......

As Colin Powell put it: "If you break it, you own it". IT IS BROKEN.

Bush is changing policy now for precisely that reason and has fired Rumsfeld as further proof. (If he was doing such a good job, why fire him?)

Either he was doing a lousy job, or Bush was just playing politics with troop lives and got rid of a good man for votes. One or the other. Can't have it both ways.

So why won't conservatives take ownership for their broken folly?

I think they are just digging a deeper hole for themselves. And our troops.

Immature, irrational, and deadly.

Did we have better generals back in WW2? Better Allies? More troops? Better strategies? Better leaders in Washington DC? Were the Nazis and Japanese inferior soldiers compared to the insurgents in Iraq?
