How do the American people feel about the future plan to unite Mexico, Canada and the USA into one united North American Union (NAU), just like the European Union?

I thought people in the US wanted border security & limits on Mexican immigration. The North American Union proposes removing the US/Canada & US/Mexico borders and to allow unrestricted movement. Do USA citizens become citizens of the NAU?

I understand Bush signed America into the NAU in March 2005? This explains the refusal to secure the southern border. But will millions of Mexicans relocating to the US overload public services? What about national security?

How do Americans feel about a new currency? Are people in favour of the proposed replacement of the US dollar with the new Amero?

The NAU isn’t just a trade agreement. It seems to be much more radical.

If you don’t know about this, please don’t respond. I’m trying to learn from people that understand the NAU.

Do American people understand the impact of what's going on? I can't understand why something of this gravity isn't being discussed.

I'm British & live in London, but I'm stunned by the NAU & worried about its impact. Why aren't Americans???

ian d - There's no point saying it won't happen. It's already happening and Bush has signed America in.

Research it.

I no all about it and I don't like what is happening, if you have noticed the news media has never reported on this, I learned about it on this web site and a radio talk show. I called a new media out let channel 8 news, and asked why they have not reported on this, and the guy told me it was not national news, I said that has nothing to do with it, everyone in every community should no about this, it doesn't have to be national news. If more people would call their local news media and complain about not getting information on this I think they would start reporting on this, or maybe they don't want people to no about this at all. That is why nothing is being done about illegal immigration Bush is a globalist like his father, I think they have already began digging on the NAFTA superhighway, which will run from Mexico to Canada through the middle of America, most of the American people don't no about this, because of the news media, I think the powers that be, no most of the people would be against this. In some parts of South America and Mexico they are already teaching children that they are Americans already, they don't have to be born in the United States to be an American, which is a lie. I hate what is going on, and how the news media is not doing their job on reporting about this. Most of the American people are in the dark about this.

P.S. The Democrats are just as lexed about this, they want more open borders, so they won't do any thing about illegal immigration either. They also no what is happening they agree with bush in that respect. All Dems no about NAFTA and the NAU.

It will never happen as the USA is too big and too dominant, and as with their recent common market attempt, the USA cannot help but exploit these small countries.
The USA has a problem in that it does not respect other countries in the American continent, they believe it is theirs.
There is also a lot of dislike and resentment especially by the Canadians of the USA.

hahaha! They can't tell because they wish to remain blissfully ignorant untill it is too late.

This is why its ironic for people with highly extreme anti-illegal views to support bush so vehemently.

If a lot people cared enough they wouldn't like it... especially the extremely anti illegal immigration people who use those views simply to hide their rascism.... of course this isnt all people who are anti illegal at all... MOST people are anti *illegal* immigration... just some for better reasons than others.

But this just goes to show why Bush is so lax when it comes to illegal immigration... Its because it won't matter so much in the future he works towards anyways....

I think the Mexicans would prefer to stay poor, that is why they fought so hard to keep it. The immigrants wouldn't be such an issue if they would just become American citizens and pay their taxes like everyone else. The Canadians - typical French - they are better then everyone else. Most politicians won't push the issue because they employee the illegals for house keeping at cheaper rate of pay. Why would they want to take that cost savings away. Just my opinion of course, I may be wrong.
