I believe that if all the astronomical amounts of money from ALL the countries going towards weapons, wages for the millitary, buildings, intelligence(!) etc, was spent on satisfying all people's basic needs (including the need to have a good time), there would be no need for wars (of all kinds, including totally unacceptable violent ways of protest resaulting in loss of lives). Happy people would be too busy being happy, or, perhaps, solving their personal relationship problems. I vote for further social education for our politicians. Do you? If yes, why not do something about it?
Think again....Trillions and Trillions of Dollars, Euros, Yens etc.

how come they can't attack the U.S. now? Do you honestly believe we have all of the "terrorists" contained so thoroughly that they are unable to plan attacks and attempt attacks on the U.S. soil as of today? Of course not! Iraq is a mess. And this is common knowledge...
Besides, Iraqi Shia and Sunnis and Kurds are too concerned with sectarian fighting against each other to gain territorial control of Iraq and its oil.
If they would attack us if we leave Iraq, then they would attack us right now. It's as simple as that. Isn't it obvious?

I realise that global warming is a reality and we all must concentrate on doing something to reduce atmospheric pollution. I wonder whether the situation has been hi-jacked by this British Goverment into a way of more taxation, now they want even more tax on car fuels and on aircraft fuel which is virtually untaxed at the moment. Aircraft fuel tax would only have an effect if every country did it and of course they won't.Of course automobiles, aircraft etc cause pollution but the worst polluting countries in the world like America,India and China to name a few are doing virtually nothing to combat the problem.Too many world leaders are in thrall to the oil industry (Bush for one) and big business to allow real change to take place. Yes,I know a journey begins with the first step but let all of us step off to-gether.

Conservatism is a political philosophy that necessitates a defense of established values or the status quo. The term derives from to conserve; from Latin conservāre, "to keep, guard, observe". While not in itself an ideology, it is a political philosophy that is determined almost entirely by its context. Defined in part as an emphasis on tradition as a source of wisdom that goes beyond what can be demonstrated or even explicitly stated

Liberalism is an ideology, philosophical view, and political tradition which holds that liberty is the primary political value.[1] Liberalism has its roots in the Western Enlightenment, but the term now encompasses a diversity of political thought, with adherents spanning a large part of the political spectrum.

Broadly speaking, liberalism emphasizes individual rights. It seeks a society characterized by freedom of thought for individuals, limitations on power, especially of government and religion, the rule of law, free public education, the free exchange of ideas, a market economy that supports relatively free private enterprise, and a transparent system of government in which the rights of all citizens are protected.[2] In modern society, liberals favor a liberal democracy with open and fair elections, where all citizens have equal rights by law and an equal opportunity to succeed

Was it because they wanted to show Americans how patriotic they were? They didn't debate the issues that were most on the people's minds, like illegal immigration and the national debt. NOOOO, it was all about showing the Americans a symbol that is guarded by our society. They don't want us to burn the freaking flag, but they are too scared to deal with the real issues that crawl around under our skins.

And that the U.S. has lost 60% of its manufacturing base? And that McDonalds has been the creator of the most new jobs? Do you know that if we use the REAL statistics to calculate unemployment (the way we used to in 1980), the actual U.S. unemployment rate IS 12.5%? Washington's NEW WAY of calculating unemployment rates doesn't include workers who can't find jobs. After 6 months of searching, those unemployed job seekers just fall off the books. So far, about 5,000,000 workers have earned this "invisible" status. So, when Washington tells you how GREAT things are, do you believe them?

Iran is an Islamic state so-to-say:
Why are so many political sites filtered in Iran while hard core porn sites are allowed? (example iranian.com vs pornspinner.com)
Why can't Iranians even submit a technical article on digg.com?
What is the regime hiding from people of Iran and why newspapers are censored, closed and people imprisoned for expressing their views?
True Islam leaves people free to choose then who is this regime serving? Quran or Satan?

In the dictionary it says Murder is killing someone at Law's eye of what is murder and what is crime. Assassination is murder that is thought throughout and that is sever. In the past assassinations to presidents have been less grusome than those of a normal everyday person. Why is a bullet through the heart or knife for a long-shot more grusome than someone beeing shot twenty times, or burned to death, or to have their skull crushed and brains everywhere? Shouldn't the normal everyday person be assassinated and the political figure be murdered?
