I am Christian American and married to a Muslim Palestinian. We have a wonderful relationship and a great marriage. I have become more open minded lately about different governments and I know that my US government is not perfect. I just do not know how to feel about the Lebanese/Israeli War. I have noticed how people make comments of not caring about the war and make it into a joke. My goodness there are people suffering both in Lebanon, Israel and Palestine. My husband showed me pictures of Palestinian babies blown up by bombs and I cried. Who is right? Who is wrong? Why do people think that war is funny? What can a normal civilian do to help instead of talk?

this question is targeted for liberals, i dont understand how you can still respect Ted Kennedy, ever hear of Chippaquiddick, ted was responsible for the death of a young woman -- he was drunk and driving, therefore, since he was the driver, he was responsible for the safety of the passengers. he left the woman in the lake after going off a bridge to die and slept off his drunkeness and waited till morning to call the police--- WHAT KIND OF SICK SLIMBALL deserves respect from anyone so please, tell me why u respect ted kennedy???? thats gross

I just rewatched the movie on cable, and I cant help but feel like the 'irony' of it. Can US really evacuate the whole people in the nick of time as potrayed by the movie, when in reality .... look at Katrina disaster....

My choice John McCain. No deferments for McCain. He's not like most Republicans (and Clinton) who are gung ho for war as long as they don't have to fight it, he did fight it.

Conspiracy theorisist always use the " why is there no visable wreckage outside the Pentagon" ....For starters there was tons of wreckage outside the Pentagon...Iv'e seen it....IT WAS LIVE TO THE WHOLE WORLD...Anyway....here is a video that demonstartes the consequences of a plane hitting a concrete and steal reinforced structure........

Does the oil companies have them in their pocket or do they have you in their pocket?Bush's family have so many oil fields in Texas and Mr. Cheney was CEO of Halliburton[which has biggest oil contract in Iraq] It's called special interest people!!!!! Most people who are Liberal will stick to Liberals no matter what. Conservative people are the same way. No matter how bad things get they seem to stick together

However poll numbers have shown new records for low approval ratings for Bush. Other polls show Dems over Rep 4-1 in this years elections. Half of these poll numbers are from Conservative polls like Fox news/opinion poll. http://www.pollingreport.com/BushJob.htm

The Brookings report concluded that most of America is Liberal. They believe in freedoms, they don't care if people are gay (just as long as they don't put their beliefs on them) etc, etc.

With record low poll numbers is this the end for conservatives? Or do most people including conservatives hate Bush?

With Dems expected to win 4 - 1 is this the sign that America is Liberal?

I see on one side people who is trying desperate to protect their family, home, friends... their life. On the other side i see people who has no personal experience with the people they judge and kill, except the propaganda, they have been fed since their childhood.
If you aloud your self to judge about millions of people, you can not be anything else then wrong and ignorant.

It is ok to suppress the others in their freedom, even to kill... but when it comes to you, you start screaming about human rights... about innocence... about equality...

It's 1:02am, and im no condition to launch into an elaborate ponitification, concerning the fallacies proselytized by the delusional conspiacy theorist. Like I stated previously, it's too late, and don't have the time to delve into every delusional misconception, and INSANE theory the frighteningly mislead come up with...But more to the point...For all of you conspiracy theorists......if 9/11 was orchestrated by the gov't....to start a war....why would yesterdays attack have been thwarted....NEWS FLASH...the war is loosing support...the conspiacy theorists thought 9/11 was intended to create a pretext "for military intervention", yet after 5 years.... many Americans are against the war (Im not one of them) ...my point is...if 9/11 was intended to start a war...and now the war is loosing support and in jeopardy of being called off...why would the gov't stop a terrorist attack, that would have certaily rallied the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA AND HER ALLIES, to "step up" the War on Terror..
