this question is targeted for liberals, i dont understand how you can still respect Ted Kennedy, ever hear of Chippaquiddick, ted was responsible for the death of a young woman -- he was drunk and driving, therefore, since he was the driver, he was responsible for the safety of the passengers. he left the woman in the lake after going off a bridge to die and slept off his drunkeness and waited till morning to call the police--- WHAT KIND OF SICK SLIMBALL deserves respect from anyone so please, tell me why u respect ted kennedy???? thats gross

I probably can't be considered a liberal but I do try to have an open mind. Ted Kennedy isn't worthy of my respect and Chappaquiddick is only one of the reasons. This man has a poor track record to say the least. He doesn't respect women and he doesn't respect authority. Of the three Kennedy brothers, he is the most self centered and spoiled. Money, in his case, has made a difference. It has covered his womanizing, his drunkenness, his murder/manslaughter, his abuse of office, etc........ I can't even believe liberals support him (lol).

I totally agree with you EV. Kennedy is weak on defense, is socialist, and got away with manslaughter because he was a drunk. Oh and you asked me if I was an America hating liberal? The answer is no. I am a registered Republican and I love my country so much that I am about to join the Marines. And you will be getting my best answer. Go Republicans!

I have considered myself a Democrat for the last forty years. There is very little respect for Ted Kennedy within his own party. Haven't you noticed he has never been suggested as the party's candidate for presidency. Nor has any Democrat asked him to campaign on their behalf. Unless he is the senator from your own state, you shouldn't even be bothered by him.

Sorry, I'm not a liberal either. Just wanted to say that I totally agree with you. And judging from the lack of answers the liberals don't have too much to say in his defense. I don't know how anyone could have respect for him.

i think it ought to reason a stroke, yet i think that Ted Kennedy benefits to die. He did not take responsibility for negligently killing someone, which i think is inexcusable.

I respect him more than Bush.
Bush sent 2000+ plus soldiers to their deaths lying about weapons of mass destruction that couldn't be found.
