I think we got a lot of help and intelligence from the Pakistani authorities, so credit where credits due there also.
This terrorist threat isn't just directed at the west. Every decent sane person, regardless of creed race or colour is a legitimate target to these idiots.
Its about time we all started sharing intelligence and then we might just contain it (don't think we'll ever beat it)
Thanks for the thanks though!

This was a joint venture (UK/Pakistan/USA)
It does not matter how large or small the participation
of each since the smallest contributor may have
thrown the trump card on the table. Therefore I join
you in the applause you are proposing with all my
heart. Also, I wish to congratulate you for bringing
the question into the Yahoo answer debate since
it deserves the attention of all participants. I now
hope that you receive many, many comments in the
same positive manner that you have shown, for it
will be widely read and understood that all of us, in
the UK or abroad are aware of "a job well done".
For it is only by letting the authorities know how
much we appreciate their work successfully done,
that they will continue their alert in the benefit of
the whole world. Yahoo has media coverage on
a world wide basis and, perhaps, a long arm that
reaches beyond many newsagents. We are free
lancers with solid support and a I wish some (perhaps
many) could cut out stupid garble and stick to serious
matters like the one YOU have posed. Congratulations
to you, my friend. You have given us a very good
contribution. Cheers, and may you continue likewise.
Your pal - Iain Ritchie

Why thank you Dudes and Dudettes, happy (as a Scotsman... this is a rebuttle to the d**k head who quoted the lyrics about Englishmen - hey idiot, the man was thanking the Brits, not the English!) to join in the acceptance of your round of applause.
I would like to add, however that the allies who you should really be thanking are the Pakistan nation. If it hadnt been for them, the uk intelligence community was by no means assured of even having a clue what was going on.
Here as well as the US we have a problem with HOMEGROWN bastard psychos... we've all got to keep vigilent, and keep a watch on anyone who praises any deity.

I am glad something is being done. The situation at the airports seems a little bit late mind you. These procedures should have been in place well before 9-11. Not sure I agree however with the way the 'alleged' suspects were named and shamed before their trial. I thought people were innocent until proven guilty? Fine if the UK government want to go this way - be consistent and go this way but for heavens sake name and shame all other criminals including paedophiles, murderes, rapists and so called 'rebels' (terrorists) who pose as bogus assylum seekers.

its a difficult war to win. the police/intelligence service have to be successful all of the time whereas the terrorist only have to be successful once. the police foiled it this time but lets see if there is enough evidence to put these bastards away for life. the police record since 7/11 (tube bombings) hasn't been good. first they shot dead an innocent unarmed man on a tube train. then they raid a house in London arresting 2 men and shooting one of them as well but later they had to release them cos they had done nothing wrong. however one was later rearrested for having child porn on his PC.
feel sorry for security services cos its a tough job they have to do, but well done on this occasion. lets celebrate with a greasy English fry up and a cup of tea. God save the queen and God bless America. FCUK the terrorist you will never win you BASTARDS

YES - I agree - an excellent job by Britain's anti-terrorist police.
But what can be done about all those disaffected young Muslims living in England?
That is a tough one!!!
Maybe the Missionaries could be sent to convert them all to Church of England?

No, the media are reporting that 1000's of lives have been saved. That doesn't mean it's true.
I don't trust the media or our so-called intelligence services. They've got a really bad track record.
Let's see how many prosecutions actually take place.

Thankyou, and I agree that when they start to get jobs in the airline industry we have a serious problem, because they can start to identify and take part in exploiting security weaknesses.
There is an obvious solution to that but the authorities are not yet ready to take it, but they will.
