Or can seperation of Church and State exist without seperation of God and State?

Is seperation of Church and State meant to prevent the formation of a "state church" like the Catholic church was in many countries throughout history, or the Church of England in the UK? To keep a specific denomination from gaining legislative or political power?

Or is seperation of Church and State meant to snuff out all traces of the Christian God from our courts, schools and governments.

Two very different concepts, if you ask me. Which is the most correct interpretation of the intent behind "seperation of Church and State"?

So what if it's "Socialist"?

A lot of programs in America are 'Socialist' i.e. Teachers, Libraries, Postal Service

The problem with health care in america is that insurance companies make money. Insurance should be a governmental program because if they are making money, that means that they're exploiting their customers. Countries such as Britain, Canada, and France have universal health care and their average life expectancy is higher. Why not have it in America?

"If I were the president, I could stop terrorist attacks against the United States in a few days. Permanently. I would first apologize to all the widows and orphans, the tortured and impoverished, and all the many millions of other victims of American imperialism. Then I would announce, in all sincerity, to every corner of the world, that America's global interventions have come to an end, and inform Israel that it is no longer the 51st state of the USA, but now -- oddly enough -- a foreign country. I would then reduce the military budget by at least 90% and use the savings to pay reparations to the victims. There would be more than enough money. One year's military budget of 330 billion dollars is equal to more than $18,000 an hour for every hour since Jesus Christ was born. That's what I'd do on my first three days in the White House. On the fourth day, I'd be assassinated." --William Blum, author of "Killing Hope: U.S. Military and CIA Interventions Since World War II," and "Rogue State: A Guide to the World's Only Superpower"

Because of the incompetence that goes by the name George Bush--we have become the most insecure, paranoid superpower ever. We don't think we can get anything right anymore. We can't take care of our own citizens after a hurricane, or plan for our wars, or maintain our infrastructure. And our celebrity rehab facilities obviously aren't working at all."

Have you noticed the government's, nasty nonsense "nannying" creeping into the private sector? ...

take this example.. a friend of mine is employed at the local co-op and they now are not allowed to sell eggs to young people, because they think they will use them in anger..
What are we afraid of?
Suicide eggers, eggaddicts or serial eggers

What's next no bacon to under 21's in case they smoke it!!
my solution ...ban hens...problem solved.

How would you like your eggs sir ?grilled, poached or nannied to death
Don't think I havent got personal experience of this..yes I was the victim of a drive by egging (and by the looks of the shell it was extra large calibre)...I survived although my trousers needed washing.
you can join up at 16 but alone in charge of an egg ..no way

you cannot guard against stupidity ....

I will have to ask you to empty your fridge of the lethal weapons you have been storing.. apparently you cannot be trusted ...

I mean, @ first I thought his inappropriate actions were to benefit his friends and the terrorists, which he has, and to get even with the asshole who tried to kill his dad, (he could have done that with one assasian) but as more time goes on, with the statements that he has made, it really seems that he is trying to bring an "End of days" I mean, we know that russia backs iran, and we know that russia has allies, and n. korea would jump at the oppertunity of an alliance to go against the united states, and all this because we gave nuclear power to india a few years ago, and now we are telling iran that they can't have it, and if they do, they will have started WW3.

Blackwater? Hmmmmm.....This is very interesting. An Amway owned private militia. Now, if any of us formed a militia wouldn't we be considered a terrorist threat?
Since when was the US military no longer good enough to protect our diplomats? Why the need for this private group? Who is profiting from this? Amway? Very interesting...
