Absolutely:
"The Justice Department investigation relates to a subsidiary called Halliburton Products & Services Ltd., an oil field services company incorporated in the Cayman Islands. In a 2003 report, the company said the subsidiary "performs between $30 [million] and $40 million annually in oilfield service work in Iran."
Halliburton is also under investigation for allegedly inflating charges for oil in Iraq during and after the war, and for giving bribes to officials in Nigeria to gain contracts there.

US companies do a lot of business in countries, which they are officially not suppose to. All the do is, open an "independent office" in lets say Dubai and run it from there. Profits go inconspicuously over a mail box in Cayman to the headquarters in the USA as payment for something, nobody pays taxes and everybody is happy.

Any US-owned company based outside the US and employing no US citizens is exempt from all US trade restrictions.
I.e. Once Intellectual property has been passed to that company, say for an oil pipeline job in Canada say, that subsidiary is totally free to subsequently supply equipment to Iran, Yemen, North Korea etc...
That's how it's done, and that's how companies like Haliburton continue to trade with unfriendly nations.

If their old boss Dick Cheney manages to get his way and the US attacks Iran, would Halliburton get government compensation for it's destroyed equipment and potential profits? If not, then maybe they know for sure something the rest of us can only wonder about concerning the likelihood of such an attack.

I'm pretty sure Haliburton used to do some work in Iran.
specially in the era that, they were denying all kinds of
accusations in which, they were all turned to be certain!!
Currently, I'm not too sure.
