I LOVE HOW YOU MENTIONED CELEBRITY REHAB FACILIIES IN YOUR LIST OF AMERICAN PROBLEMS.
This is what's wrong with America. The government has their own agenda and they're not sharing it with the people. Instead, they have consumed and distratced your minds with news of celebrities, and other trivial information.
Celebrity news overpowers everything!
300 kids could have died in Iraq yesterday, and top news on all TV stations is Britney's new cd.
That's America.
The only thing you can do as a citizen is watch independent documentaries, and do your own research in order to learn the truth.
But America is smart. They have kept you so busy with work, school, family, friends, celebrities, and pseudo-glamorous lives that you don't have "extra" time to spend on researching and watching documentaries.
Who needs that right?
Why watch a boring hour-long documentary when you can watch Nicole Ritchie walking into Starbucks with her pregnant belly?

When in doubt, always go back to the basics
Politicians need to be reminded constantly that their primary
duty is to uphold the constitution .
Party politics taken to extremes serves no one but special interests.
No one to blame but ourselves or at least the ones who cannot put the good of the country before their own narrow minded views.
Fundamentalist, christians (as an example )want it their way
at the expense of others who do not share the same views .
& are no different than the extreme islamists who want it their way or no way.
Same as any other special interest group that puts their own agenda before the common good.
Common sense goes out the window when people cannot
think beyond their own immediate experience.
The other points you make are just symptoms of the incompetence of the current administration.
To be fair ( if i have to), It is not all GWB's fault .
The sickness runs deep & has been there for a long time regardless of the party in power.
It's what happens when MBAs not statesmen/women run the country.
Eisenhower ( a Republican) warned us long ago to beware of the "military industrial complex"
A military man with a conscience who saw the danger of "big business" taking over & spoke out.
GWB also a Repub. is at the other end of the spectrum.
He is has proven himself to be incompetent & does not have the brains to figure out how much power has been lost to the "complex"
On the other hand , maybe he does.
He's certainly not a statesman or in touch with the same reality as the thinking public.
Back to basics & the American ideals that once made us
a great, respectable country.......
Honesty & accountability in government , protection of civil liberties, & everything else the founders layed out.
Simple , stick to that plan & we will recover eventually.
Not a republican , but where are we going to get another Truman or Eisenhower before ist's too late?.

The problem with America is the "us versus them, good versus evil" mentality that is dividing Republicans and Democrats. Each side seem to fear and loathe the other. You can see it plainly in the halls of Congress, but it spreads much further than there. Watch the news, or look at the posts on this thread.
Many are of the opinion that this is the most polarized we have been in the history of the country, even more so than leading up to the civil war (although I don't think we're on the verge of a repeat). If we the people cannot overcome our fear and loathing for the other half of the population, we will drive our country to mediocrity and perhaps worse, without needing the help of all of those who hate us to do us in.

Everyone is so worried approximately the president while that's just a small aspect of what we must resolve this countries issues. All the applicants besides for Dr. Paul are at the take from a few foyer or corperation. It is normally the equal with the condominium and senate. If you seem carefully only a few if any politition's even right down to the town degree aren't in mattress with intity no longer aspect of the federal government for cash. The method to resolve that is to do our damndest to go with men and women who care approximately this nation. Forget political celebration affiliations and seem on the tips at the applicants you ought to opt for from and check out and make knowledgeable choices. Step away for the matters I name Non Issues comparable to gun manage, homosexual marriege and abortion as a lot of these are certainly distractions from the truly disorders of country wide safety, global family members, financial system, and imigration. If you learn the Constitution those are meant to be the disorders the government is meant to paintings on. Not healthcare, welfare, and different minor disorders. Those are meant to fall below the Powers fo every man or woman state. P.S. If the polititions for your district/county/town/state aren't doing the process for your pride, attempt to uncover anyone to run who will or positioned your cash in which your mouth is and get within the battle your self.

The bigest problem we have, is the lobbyist on capital hill, they own the government, the lobbyist should be outlawed and stopped, then and only then will we change for the better, but for that to happen we need a very popular strong strong leader, someone who the lobbyist can't touch, and don't say Arnold Terminator, he has already proven he will fold very quick under pressure. Why do you think we have this Iraq war, and why do you think democrats voted for it, because they were told to by the lobbyist, it was vote for it or we will get you out of office, if that doesn't make sense to you then think of all the lobbyist who stood to gain from the war, and there is a lot.

Everyone can keep playing the blame game...on President Bush. However, when a question arises, that turns the table around for a change, and it's time for them to step up to plate and take control, speak their minds on how they would demonstrate a President of the U.S.A. should be, what his duties are, how they would change what he is doing, boy, no one can measure up!!!! They still find it more amusing to blame President Bush for everything....step up to the plate and say how YOU can be the next BETTER President, people!!! Let's hear your rant now!!!

Our problems have been well on their way since before the Bush administration.
Let me say something important:
Both Democrats and Republicans, at one point or another, want you to believe that a president, or a political party, is solely responsible for a country's problems. It just isn't that simple.

Its the overall quality of people that colleges are cranking out, and those that are choosing to go into government service. You cannot point to any one person as the problem. Rather, it is a crisis of overabundant mediocrity in government today.

The main problem I see with America is that corporations have gained way too much power in the last 10 years. (Rupret Murdoch)
We need to limit how many takeovers and mergers corporations can have to keep them at reasonable sizes.
