Government - November 2006

Starting with Viet Nam, US Presidents have been allowed to declare war without approval of the House of Representatives. Thomas Jefferson gave the House of Representatives that power, consciously, to check the balance of power from an over-zealous President. We the people fight these wars, not the President's family. Shouldn't we demand representation on this issue?

this guy single handedly leaded 15 people out of the towers ,he was the last civilian to be pulled from the rubble alive .he was going to be backed to run for congress ,but the man had a conscience and went public saying bombs were going off in the buildings ,he was told to keep his mouth shut and he would receive many deals mounting up to millions of dollars ,yet turned it all down because he would not be corrupted and actually stood up for himself his familly his country and was demonised for it .

Is this man still a hero even though he wouldnt go along with the lies and propaganda?

MPs, their support admin, and the traditional paraphenalia cost so much and yet so little gets done. Has this form of democracy become inefficient and not cost-effective? I'm not a monarchist and I'm wary of dictators but, honestly, how many more doctors could we have for one MP?

I ask because I am curious how many of those would support all Americans making between 40 and 60k. No less. No more.

Do you support the idea and if so why? I'm interested to see how many think we as a society have an obligation to all be the same.

Practically all communist countries in history have seen widespread abuse and corruption by their rulers, and their people tend to live miserable lives. Yet, some people out there still want communism back.

Michael Foot… One of the founder members of CND.
Tony Benn another member of the CND, who along with his Son the now, Rt Hon Hilary Benn. Secretary for State for International Development. Marched along with the CND.
The Three Musketeers. I give more integrity to the Kray Brothers. Both Blair and Hilary Benn will go into the Lobbies at Parliament, and vote for this weapon of mass destruction, and instruct their Whips to make sure all the other Labour MPs do as they are told. And of course the cowards in that party that are against Nuclear will toe the line, some integrity. This is what Tony Blair calls Democracy. He will get this passed in Parliament in the same way he lied his way into the Iraq War. They say that Dr Shipman was Britain’s biggest mass murderer, tell that to the 125 odd British Servicemen that are now dead. Whose Widows, Tony Blair told he knew he was right
