Do you believe the American government is honest?

or do you believe we are never told the WHOLE story (as in how long we have really been at war, since the early 70s, and why we actually invaded Iraq? Do you believe the american government withholds information pertinent to Americans?

The question should be are there any honest governments anywhere in the world? Are there any honest politicians left? Are people okay with their government's lack of forth-coming? I am not happy with people feeding me lies and its up to us the voters to demand the truth and honesty. Although, I am very weary of ever getting the truth to come out of a politicians mouth. Let me know your answers!

In what context. A pollis barely as solid as its questions. on the grounds which you do not record the questions the records is incomprehensible. Ex Do you suspect the government advised the certainty on the subject of the air high quality for the period of 9/11 Do you suspect the government knew the bombers have been going to attack the international commerce center towers and enable it ensue. you may get 2 diverse outcomes. Do you suspect the government lied in some way on the subject of all that befell approximately 9/11. i'm particular this question could score 80 one% yet so what.

Reading some of the idiots that post on this board it's obvious that ignorance and intelligence don't prevail for quite a few people. Those that would turn a good question into their puking of rhetoric and simply unintelligent answers of trying our leaders in world courts... ok genious... good luck on that one.

As far as honesty... absolutely not. We are definitely not told the whole story nor should we be. It's obvious on this board alone that people are pretty ignorant and not very responsible when it comes to their reactions. While I absolutely believe in freedom of speech and information there is still some things we just aren't smart enough to handle it. Example - read the post by "leef" (of course being a foreigner prolly qualifies them to speak about our politicians).

Unfortunately it is a very fine line. We HAVE to trust in our goverment to do the very best they can to protect us and be honest with us. At the same time we have to know when there are politicians that are corrupt and setting us up for failure only for their own good.

While I don't know any of you posting on here... I think it is just hilarious that people would talk about how corrupt our goverment is when we have murderers that get 15 years in prison and are out in 5. Or, molestors that get probation. What our goverment may do in terms of honesty I think is moot as long as we have basic moral corruption for 50% of Americans out there. Get real... until we have moral obligations as citizens to each other how can you with a straight face complain about high level corruption and honesty?

This has and always will be the challange.

Wow, the guy who thinks we have the most honest government in the world, I really admire you innocence,I really do, but strongly disagree. I think power corrupts most, and in this world of New World Order, I think we can say its absolute power there looking for, so what does that say? There is a difference between capitalism and Conquering.

You know we are a very new country, the newest country, Other countries have so much history, 1000s of years of culture and history that has worked for them, who are we to say were right, who are we to say were better? Who are we to say we can kill because we want a better way for you, You know a very very few people always seem to profit greatly and many many many others die. I just cant see how we can feel we are so much better to justify that.

Well, we are never told the whole story anyway. Most of that is to protect national security. Is there some level of corruption or conspiracy in our government? Yes, of course there is. But there is the same in every government that has ever existed. I think that the U.S. government, despite all of its flaws, is still one of, if not the best governement that has ever existed. It was founded by men who knew what they were doing, and who believed in what they were doing.

Of course nobody believes. America is a complex country, with main interest to promote capitalism. But it promotes democracy whereas it supports dictatorship if it suits them. Probably it's well within their right to support their interests.I'am fully supportive of their scientific approach in life, advances in science etc.But the miserably fail to convince the world that what they do is actually the best for humanity

The American goverment is rotten to the core and has been for a long time. We are given "everything is okay" propaganda stories by the media, but the truth is, the United States is a third world country and it's our own fault.

I just thought how naive and innocent those US Americans (who always claim to speak for the whole continent) really are. It's quite heartbreaking.
EVERY gouvernment everywhere lies to its citizens at times, but yours is the biggest bunch of liars, cheats and spin doctors the world has ever seen. On top of that, they are criminals and belong in front of an international tribunal for war crimes.
