a friend of mine is in Nigeria visiting family, I sent her a new cell phone she tells me she need $500.00 for passport to be able to pick up package is this true or is this a scam she is from the US

Scam, considering that $500.00 is not needed to pick up a package. Other identification cards could be presented aside from the passport to pick up the package.

If it's from Nigeria, I am 90% certain that it is a scam. You should have seen Dr. Phil yesterday, he had two women on there that were "in love" with people that were "trapped" in Nigeria.

Yes, Love. Its a scam. Do not send her any more money. Let her sell the cell phone to get home if she has to. She needs the money to live and get around and buy a few things. If you've got $500 to give her, and shes really special to you, send her the money.

it's a scam. you don't need a passport to pick up nuffin! she should have already had a passport to get there anyways
