With an ever growing National Debt in the United States having now reached 8.4 Trillion Dollars and growing by 1.95 Billion Dollars per day what may a government do to control or even to pay down this debt?

The National Debt of the United States has grown by 2.8 Trillion Dollars in the past six years placing every American Citizen with a
personal National Debt of $28,000.

Will the increasing National Debt eventually break the United States Government?

It seems to me, that even those below the poverty line in this nation are stilll fat. They obviously find food somewhere.

In contrast, people below the poverty level in say, Africa and Central America, are emaciated and covered with flies.

Should our government increase the living standard of people who can't buy more useless crap, but still have food to eat, or should they care about increasing the living standard of people who die by the hundreds everyday due to starvation?

As I understand it, the US 'right to bear arms' revolves around the safeguard of the citizens being able to form a militia and oust a tyranical government. 200 years ago this may have been possible but today is it possible? I know that guerrilla warfare in Iraq, Afghanistan, Viet Nam, Northern Ireland etc can make life difficult for the 'superior' force, but that is different from removing ones own government.
