because China is already working on it and they will probably be able to perfectly clone a human before we are even started. I am not against President Bush or anything because I don't get involved in a lot of government stuff. But yet I still think this was a big mistake.

It appears to all outside observers that the predominatly democratic nation has geared itself up to being anti-democratic. There is no choice except two right wing parties. Big business has more political sway than human rights campaigners and the poor seem to become ever poorer. Will the situation ever change so that the level of poverty that America seems to wallow in will be serverly reduced. Or will a corporate republic take over, where the land is divided up between large multinationals?

John Reid,Thank goodness we have, at long last got a MAN! and a politician, worth his salt,
and who is prepared to make himself unpopular among the smug incompetent people at the home office, and to sort out the utter shambles left by his predecessors. In my book he is a diamond in a sea of mire: My only fear is that he will be moved because he has ruffled too many feathers, We need more people of John Reids ilk in goverment, not a bunch of namby pamby yes men!

We live in rural area on 1 1/4 acre lots. Proposed development of new homes will add 20 new homes next to chicken farm. These homes will mostly be sold to city folks who will flip out when they find out about flies, chicken smells, local coyote population, feather burning stench. The beautiful, tranquil field that a local deer family is known to use each year w/their fawns, is a lovely sight in our neighborhood that most neighbors do not want to see developed. This development will bring crime, more than likely, which we do not have now...not to mention an incredible amount of traffic (minimum of 80 cars) daily on our country lane where people walk (we don't like sidewalks and street lights here, they bring crime) and dogs & children play....currently skunk clan of 15 little ones are using the lane each night on their nightly excursions. Who can I contact to help us in finding a way to prevent this development, by an out of town developer! City sold land thru Redevelopment - Help!

Ok you all know the problem with voting: If 30% vote for A, 20% for B, and 20% for C, 20% for D, and 10% for E then A wins..even though 70% didn't vote for A...

So here's what I suppose... When voting you have one YES vote and one NO vote. That way you can vote for whomever you wish, at the same time voicing what you would like to avoid as your worst fear. I believe it would end the debacle about all of this crap. Let's institute it. What do you all think?

How do they do it? Do they just quit their job, or do you have to be fired to get it. I must be one of the dumb ones, I work for a living.

It is sad when I think of who will be the next President of the US. I don't feel that anyone that will be nominated truly understands what it is like to be an average American citizen. Is it possible for someone who always had everything or has never known what it means to struggle a bit, to truly understand the majority of the American public. Does our next President have to be a Yale or Harvard graduate or even a current politician? Do they have to be a millionare simply to qualify? Do they have to have influence over big businesses or have been partners in a big business? Big money represents about 1% of our population, and control the US Government. Which means the middle-class has no representation. I believe that if a middle-class person were to be voted in to the Presidency, there would be such an uproar. Most of these high powered, rich politicians see the Presidency as their birthright, instead of an opportunity to take care of the majority of its population.
