Most bosses have theyre own agendas. A lot of jobs will keep the hard working person in that same spot knowing they will stay hard at work. You dont want someone who doesnt work hard in that position they get promoted

Find another job. Now that they know you, they are unlikely to change.
Once there, focus on the positive. Managers are only humans, also. Although some think they're better. It does not matter. What matters to you is that you be happy. Follow your bliss, and soon nothing but good will follow.
