I like what he has to say on a number of issues(not all, I don't want oil drilling in sensitive areas such as Anwar), but he won't get much support from mainstream Republicans. He strikes me as being more of a Libertarian candidate.

of the spouses ? What rights and previleges are granted under the constitution for the spouses ? So far all presidents have been Men. So their wives were being called as First Ladys.

Is their being First Ladys just a formality fulfilled or there is some thing significant ?

Here's the idea: If elected, I would create a panel of my constituents (none of them elected officials) and have a regular online forum to inform them of the things I have to vote for. They would each then send me their vote and I would vote based on whichever way they direct me to vote. That way I am truly representing the people. I have no political experience and would campaign as such, basically telling people that I will be their puppet and not a politician.

Ratings for Congress are never broken down between the Democrats and teh Republicans, consequently we really vannot use them to judge the entire Congress. Is the rating so negative for the inability of the Democrats to get their program into law or for the Republicans for blocking it? Is the Congressional rating a false hope that the Republican's cling to in tehri desperation when confronting the disaster they face in 2008.
