He campaigned for it. People voted for him. He got more votes than the other guy. He won. He became Senator Obama. Wasn't enough for him. Now he wants to be President. I don't know how though because he doesn't even have experience as a senator. The whole time he's been a senator all he's done is try to be a president.

He won the Senatorial election in Illinois. Previous to that he was a member of the Illinois General Assembly.
