definately, he is tough on his immigration stance, he wants to improve america from the inside, he is not against the war on terror( which is currently preventing more 9/11's in case people have forgoten about the single largest attack on U.S soil by a foreign enemy in history since Pearl Harbor, where we got pissed off at the deaths of our citizens, rallied (not whined), and kicked the As&es of the enemy, same as now), he has a background in business, a plus with our growing national debt, our nations credit card addiction issue(housing issues also), he doesnt flip flop on the issues, and he is a strong leader.

You should be extremely careful when trying to learn about Mormons on the Internet because there are many, many lies, distortions, and conspiracy theories. Anyone can publish anything on the web; there are many people in this country (and in the world) that are quite bigoted against Mormons. Surprisingly, the media is not much more accurate. I've been amazed at some of the things the media claims we believe.
For example, several recent articles have tried to paint Mormons as racist bigots. Nothing could be further from the reality of my own Mormon life. It just so happens that my wife is black. We were married in a Mormon temple, where the officiator told us that God approved of our marriage. My wife is treated well at church, as are the other African American members of our congregation. I've had a black bishop in several different Mormon congregations of which I've been a member.

Even tho' I can't vote for Romney because of his stand on stem cell research, you're reason for not voting for him is ridiculous. A Presidential candidate will not be going to the White House to hold tent revivals. Well, Huckabee might, but other than that I don't see this happening.

I have to be 100% honest. No, I can't.
I used to be a Mormon, I know what they believe, and it's not like some of the more abstract things about the faith that disturb me, it's some of the things that are right up front, and part of day-to-day Mormon life that disturbed me. Like temple rites.
"Baptism of the dead" for one thing. A lot of abuses happen with that strange rite, things like Jews killed by the Germans during the Holocaust being "baptized by proxy". The "sealing of marrigages" which has been used to skirt the polygamy laws where a couple is "sealed" but not legally married so that in the after-life, they will have more than one wife, just not more than one legal wife here.
Even the whole premise of the Book of Mormon. And this comes from someone who believes that God gave the Torah to Moses on Mt. Sinai. Where are the Golden Plates? Many of the people who swore that they saw them started out in high positions of the church, and some of them got kicked out later for one thing or another, where a few later said they never saw them. The method that Joseph Smith used to "decypher" the golden plates is far less believeable than the hand of Almighty God giving Moses Torah by His own hand. Trust me. Read about how he translated the book of Mormon.
Then there is the thing with blacks and Mormonism. Up until sometime in the 1970s, blacks couldn't be full members. But then something happened. The IRS was looking at yanking their tax exempt status. The NCAA was thinking about revoking their NCAA status at BYU. There was a lot of political pressure from civil rights groups. There was just a lot of bad press and pressure from all sides. Then, something happened. God came to the Prophet and told him that ALL people can be full members. Being black was NOT a curse!!! Then came a few changes to the Book of Mormon that kind of removed the racial elements, and BINGO!! The Mormon Church is now BLACK FRIENDLY!!!
I have far less problems with other religions and their ideas about things. For example, in the Catholic church, when you take communion, the host and wine are "transubstanitated" into the actual body and blood of Christ. Well, if you look in the New Testament, when Jesus was at the Last Supper, he himself said that the bread and wine was his body and blood. Works for me. And I am not a Catholic. I USED to be, but am no longer.
I know, you are really confused by me now as to what religion I am. Well, raised Lutheran, converted to Catholicism because I as joining the Air Force and knew that normally where ever you were, there was a priest, so I went with what was readily available, then became a Mormon while in the service, and stayed one for about 10 years, then just had too many questions and too many times I was told to just read the Book of Mormon and pray on it. Instead, I studied. Through my studies, I became a Jew.

No! Forget that he has a religion for a minute and just look at how he changes like a chameleon and/or dodges answering questions just because he wants to be able to say what he thinks we want to hear. Slicker than a can of oil!

The things you hear? You're willing to base your presidential vote on things you hear? How about you do a little research on Mormons yourself. Then at least you can base your vote on things you know...

Nope, can't vote for a Mormon. My personal beliefs are 180 from the LDS church.
There is such a lack of openness in "the church". I know some people my age who converted to mormonism, but their parents did not. As a consequence, the parents were not allowed to attend their own kids' wedding. That's complete craziness.
I don't need complete craziness in the White House.

No, I would not vote for him because he is a Mormon and I would not vote for him because I do not believe he is the right man for the job. My vote would go to Fred Thompson!
He is the most conservative and has the most experience of any of the Republican Candidates!
