Do you agree as the professional strategist?

Thank You all, yet PLEASE save the diatribe and insults and answer the question. Additional commentary is welcomed and encouraged as always.

Not another Ross Perot? LOL That would splinter the GOP and Hillary would actually win against Ron Paul. Though I do admire him and consider him as a patriot yet in a global economy his ideology as president would certainly send America into economic decline.

Steve M--Thank you for the link. I bookmarked it. But, the REAL election is over a year away. It would be EXTREMELY difficult to attack the "person" of McCain due to his service. All the others are open season. Clinton play book "Attack the person not their idea's" one year is a very long time in politics. Her support would dwindle in time far more than McCain' would. Any other republican she could keep up with

MEL- Thanks for the awesome link I shall go to it frequently.

I agree. McCain is her worst nightmare. Hillary '08 would resort to underhanded tactics per usual. BUT she keeps getting caught red handed. The Gop will be after her if she passes the Primary anyway. Mostly for campaign ethics and finance violations. Obama is our problem child.

McCain has
Courageous Service~Experienced Leader~Bold Solutions
Hillary has her FIrst Lady daze. Read the side text from Sally Bedell Smith on this site for a more detailed evaluation of those days. Hillary was a walking nightmare herself. Kept Bill in line only as a trade off for his adulterous behaviour.

John McCain is an honorable man. It would be very hard for Hilary or anyone else to attack him on a personal level, and this is what Hillary excels at. This would make him hard for Hilary to beat. As far as the front runners go, he is the best. My only real issue with him is his acceptance of big government as the only possible reality, and therefore, the only solution to our problems.
Perhaps McCain is the solution. He is nowhere as liberal as the Democrats, but he is far more liberal than I am. He has bought into the system, and I think that is a mistake. If someone accepts the status quo, and doesn't try to improve it, then he is part of the problem, but, I also understand that a wise man picks his battles, and perhaps that is what McCain is doing.
Maybe he is the start of a more conservative movement in this country, but not as much of a shock to us as Ron Paul would be. Perhaps we have to approach this return to a value driven system a little more gradually than I would like. If that is the case, then McCain is a good first step.
As you know, I like Ron Paul, and like him, I'm not good at compromise, but all else being equal, I would vote for McCain if he were nominated, and I wouldn't have to hold my nose. I would have to, if any of the others were nominated.

As of the last Zogby Poll...the worst case for Hillary is Huckabee...she loses that 44%-39%.

However that is splitting hairs,,,as Hillary loses to EVERY republican by 3%-5%...

She was 4 points behind McCain.....

The worst case for the Dems is that she wins the nomination...

Hillary can not win...period...she can not poll better than 40%-45%...no matter who polls....you can't win with that....

Hillary is not electable under any circumstances. She does not have widespread appeal, she appeals only to special interest groups, such as homosexuals, and health insurance companies which stand to benefit from her health care plan. Hillary receiving the nomination virtually guarantees a GOP presidential victory.

I think the worse nightmare for Hillary would be if George Carlin won the GOP. The Court jester can tell truths others dare not speak aloud.

The worst case senerio for Hillary would be running against anyone... They only way she has a chance is if she would run alone, but I'm sure that she wouldn't get elected there either as most people in that case would still vote against her and would rather have NO President then have her.

The worse case scenario for Hillary would be Ron Paul.

The worse case scenario for our country is Hillary actually won.

Save his war hawk attitude about Iraq, McCain is a moderate and can appeal to moderate voters; something that Hillary really cannot do.
