George's Quotes.

Firearms stand next in importance to the Constitution itself. They are the American people's liberty teeth and keystone under independence.
The spirit of encroachment tends to consolidate the powers of all the departments in one, and thus to create whatever the form of government, a real despotism.
No pecuniary consideration is more urgent, than the regular redemption and discharge of the public debt: on none can delay be more injurious, or an economy of time more valuable.
Government is not reason, it is not eloquence. It is force, and like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master.
Against the insidious wiles of foreign influence... that foreign influence is one of the most baneful foes of Republican Government.
The great rule of conduct for us, in regard to foreign nations, is in extending our commercial relations to have as little political connection as possible..
The government of the United States is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion.

How do you feel about mayor giuliani? I personally do not care for him. I think he seems like a good person but I don't understand how he is republican. He's pro choice for one. Also, he voted against Bush's ban against same sex marriage. He seems to be more democrat than republican. what are your thoughts

Smart move in an election year, make CONs vote against or Bush veto a tax cut for the middle class.

If I were to say I'm voting for Rudy because he's white, or because he's a man, I'd be torn to pieces.

P.S. Obama's not even black, is he? He's half-black or something.

suppose he becomes ill or gets heart attack then the plans will be stuck halfway & it will be difficult for a new president to complete the work.

WHY???

We finally have someone that wants to do things differently, but some people want to discredit him because he IS different.

How much sense does this make?

"We want something different...we want something different.....ohhhhhhhhh different...must be a kook."

I've seen the polls putting a Hilary vs. Rudy general election at a dead heat. I haven't seen any comments on how a democrat could win the election without winning NY state. I can't imagine Rudy losing NY, so what states/electoral votes could Hilary turn from red to blue to win the election?

Is she crazy like her husband or better? I know that it would be cool if we had a woman president but would she really do what's best for our country?

Keeping up with all of them? I saw a candidate interviewed on TV last night and I didn't even know who he was!

Willey claims Hillary Clinton, now a Democratic presidential candidate, had “enabled” her husband’s alleged sexual indiscretions by coercing and intimidating the women who made claims against him. She said the then-first lady orchestrated smear campaigns against her and other women and hired public investigators and lawyers to protect the Clinton’s political interests.

“Through no fault of our own, we were smeared in the media, terrorized by thugs, audited by the IRS, followed by strangers and victimized by threats,” Willey wrote in her book. “Our homes were broken into and our pets were killed. And we know that Hillary and her minions were behind the terror.”

"She's behind the secret police. She's the one who sets up the war room when he goes out and he does what he does and he zeroes in on women," Willey told FOX News, noting that her book offers considerable details on that charge.

Just to make sure you know I'm talking about the AUSTRALIAN election here. As I understand it, there will also be a half Senate election. If the coalition has the majority already, isn't it most likely that they'll maintain control of the Senate afterwards or would we need a huge loss of seats for that to happen? It's late and I'm tired so perhaps I'm not thinking straight but no-one seems to have mentioned that in the campaign.

To be fair, I will reveal my vote at the end of the three day poll

It was revealed this morning on Sunrise that the major parties have not yet launched their Campaigns and that until they do so, in the last 2 weeks of the lead up to the Election we, the long suffering taxpayers, have been footing the bill for all of their jaunts around the country drumming up support, paying for chartered jets etc. The only thing the parties have paid for are their TV/Radio ads. They won't start paying they're own way on flights etc. until their campaigns are 'officially' launched 2 weeks out from the Election.

I don't know about you but I'm really, REALLY miffed by this revealation.

What do you think? Should political parties start paying as soon as an Elelction is called or is it their God given right to use our money on their flits around the country selling themselves and making core or non-core promises just to lure our vote????
