Since these two are the leading two candidates in the Democratic section, who would you prefer to be the next presidential candidate? Quite personally, I don't trust Clinton. I would definitely choose Barack over Clinton. I would like to hear your thoughts just as a random question (please no "name-calling" because of my or anyone else's opinion. )

- Thomas Jefferson (Inscribed around the roof of the Jefferson Monument)

"Does the government fear us? Or do we fear the government? When the people fear the government, tyranny has found victory. The federal government is our servant, not our master!" - Thomas Jefferson

“It does not take a majority to prevail…but rather an irate, tireless minority, who keep on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men.” - Samuel Adams

"Anyone who fights for the future lives in it today…man as a heroic being, with his own happiness as the moral purpose of his life, with productive achievement as his noblest activity, and reason as his only absolute." - Ayn Rand

Does the inconsistencies surrounding her various stances on the Iraq war, support for General P and repeated questions about her campaign and its contributors give you even the slightest pause about voting for her?? Do you feel that these questions will come back to haunt her??

Before you get carried away, she DID support and vote for the war. She DID support General P to take over in Iraq and her campaign HAS been dogged by controversy regarding some of her contributors~there is no "neocon" propaganda in this question.

Now please, this is a legitimate Hillary Clinton question. If you want to bash the president or other candidates there are 1000's of other postings to go to.....

I know who members are, how many each state has and why they have that many, but what i don't get is winning states. Like you always hear, "if he wins Ohio (or florida, or california, etc)...." But what does it mean by win? Does it mean when you get a majority of a state that has...say, 11 votes and you get 6 you get all 11? or you get 6 and the other gets 5?

If you compare them Romney has a much stronger record on everything. He was a business executive, turned around the Olympics, was elected Governor of Mass and enacted conservative solutions there, etc. On the other hand Thompson was a lobbyist, mediocre 2 term senator with a lot of liberal positions, and of course was an actor.

If you look at their positions, Thompson is more to the left than Romney on issues like marriage and immigration. Romney has a huge war chest and a large organization, while Thompson has been having organizational troubles for the past year and has gone through at least 3 different campaign mangers.

Romney also has video clips of all his positions easily accessible on his website, while Thompson only gives vague generalizations about where he stands. Romney has gone to all the debates and answers direct questions from people

Thompson is also extremely boring with a dragging monotone voice, while Romney is exciting, energetic and leaves people feeling good

How quickly one forgets. Johnny Howard is going to give us Nuclear Reactors and a wonderful theme park called." Dump your waste here". This stuff has a 1/2 life of 1 Thousand Years. I am sure all the children in 100 Years would love to have this beside their playgrounds. Do not believe me, Read a book called The Silent Bomb. It will change your mind about Nuclear Reactors. It will be our children that face this mess left by us,

This is the same system that has caused honest hard working men to lose everything and ultimately be forced to suicide because they were left with no means to support themselves.

When I say "it", I mean "everything."

At one of the debates, Paul was trying the explain the idiocy behind the "They hate us for our freedom" argument. Anyone who actually believes that is a moron.

Paul was NOT defending the terrorists. He was explaining their motives. They hate the US because of our crappy foreign policies in the Middle East, and the US's meddling in their countries.

Ron Paul, unlike the other Republican candidates, understands that you can only push people so far before they start pushing back.
