I think a lot of people are too lazy to vote. What if they could go to a website and actually vote. Do you think they would? Would that get more young people involved?

Down on the war
Poll: More troops unhappy with Bush’s course in Iraq

By Robert Hodierne
Senior managing editor
The American military — once a staunch supporter of President Bush and the Iraq war — has grown in creasingly pessimistic about chances for victory.

For the first time, more troops disapprove of the president’s han dling of the war than approve of it. Barely one-third of service members approve of the way the president is handling the war, ac cording to the 2006 Military Times Poll.

Am I obligated to vote?

During my Sr. year in high school, we had a MOCK voting to practice how to vote in real life. Well, I knew nothing about politics & the differences between Democrat & Republican. I voted for Bush. This was back in the year 2000. Everyone got mad at me & started throwing things at me & they all voted for the other Democrat president. I don't remember who he was. & everyone hated me ever since then. I didn't know who to vote for, & we HAD to choose something. This was for a class grade. Now that we DO have Pres. Bush, I feel bad. I still don't know anything about politics & I'm almost 24 with a college degree.

Haven't we learned our lesson yet?

Vote Hillary Clinton, John Edwards, Barack Obama, or any Democrat!

If you want another Bush, something must have snapped in your brain, or your part of the 26% that actually thinks this man is doing a GOOD job tarnishing our reputation with other countries, starting an unnessesary war, or violating international and Constitutional laws.

Vote Democrat! Renew our tarnished reputation!!!

War or isolation? let's see. kill and use up trillions of dollars of resources and destroy the world, or save for greater danger. i asked an earlier question on isolationism. one answer said isolationist countries lost ww i and ii. no. england was isolationist in wwii. fearing russia more than germany, england refused to help france as in ww i. saved resources and thumped the nazi air attack in the battle of britain, over british skies, conserving fuel. isolationism won, as the german planes had to fly too far to and from the fighting. the u.s. is fighting in wars in asia. that is all the way on the other side of the planet. is this dumb or what?

remember back in the 70's, after all the progress that was started with Johnson's "Great Society" was pulled back again, and republicans started running on platforms of promising to balance the budget? ( meaning make sure we get our paychecks, and cut out money that goes to the disenfranchised) do you remember how that simple and illogical claim worked? as far as what their interpretation of balancing the budget was?

lets look at what the budget is that needs balancing? what is the net worth of the United States? How many millions of acres of land, machines, buildings, assetts, etc? let's balance that. let's reduce the pay checks of all elected officials, judges, lawyers, and cops, and give 20 thousand dollars each to every inhabitant, in effect balancing out all the wealth that has been being hoarded while they pay themselves and dont share with the general republic. might that fix things?

Vietnam: napalm and agent orange, birth defects still occurring from this 40 years later. Iraq, depleted uranium, causing cancer in children and american military personnel. why is the u.s. fighting what was traditionally a french and russian war? consider the wasted resources and how they could be used here within the country where currently 37% of the population is born out of wedlock. Would it not be better to be more isolationistic, and spend the money on the public good inside of our own society?

If you have any details on how to apply for a pardon, please let Mike know and how much he will have to pay.

Will Hillary set up a web-site to sell pardons this term, if she wins?

And, is changing his positions on abortion and gay rights?

I liked him because he stodd firm on his own personal beleifs. I was possibly going to vote fro him if he was the Republican nominee, but, it doesn't look like it now.

I also was dispointed in John McCain for going to Liberty University and speak at that religious wacks -Jery Falwell's university.

Are there any politicans out there who are true to themselves? If so, let me know, and I will suport them. No Ron Paul. Mark Gravel - I like.
