Elections - August 2007

There are so many low wage people with children that have default student loans, and the only way they can afford to pay them back is by having their EIC tax refunds garnished.

There's no way the government can collect on these default student loans if they do not garnish their income tax returns. People with children would be forced to work under the table in order for their familys to survive.

I used to think Clinton was the best candidate, but she has caved to the lobbiests and has taken a bunch of money from the insurance and pharmaceutical industry. I understand that they are king makers, along with energy and utilities, but why has she not spoken of national health care??? Please, if you have more info on this, help me out! I'm not sure she will get us out of Iraq either? What happened???

Why is Karl Rove so obsessed with Hillary? Is it because he has such a strong dislike of her and Bill? Or is it something more stomach churning?

I felt Bill Richardson did quite well. Better than his other debates.

I love Dennis Kucinich and am strongly going in his direction come the primaries.

I also love Joe Biden but feel he's running for VP for Clinton.

I believe she is a liar, straight up. Her body language says she is still a liar. Let's just double up on the lie to the People of the country again, aand again. Anyone watching her in this debate who believes her is flat out blind.

that would be one hell of a revealing debate, between him and the hilderbeast! That is if the sponsor was allowed to let the arrows fly in the format of no holds barred, including political correctness, and the barrier of race leveling, as to cultural differences denied, and never mentioned, unless by the media designated victomhood. For example : crimes white on black, called hate-crimes, that carry more severe punishment, but black on white, put on back classified pages, and considered poetic justice by the cowardly news editors! To return to the question, Hillary should be asked tough character, and IQ revealing questions, and let the voters see and hear truth for a change.

In all other elections the person with the most votes win. The electoral college seems to be like a point spread in sports. Therefore the fix is in!

I believe it was in the S. Carolina Debate: Hillary made big talk, and disagreed aloud towards Obama, for saying he would meet with leaders of alleged rogue nations.

They came to an empass over Obama's statement to meet with these leaders, and said she would not allow herself to be used for "propaganda purposes." In light of that, I believe she would bring Madeline Albright in as her Secretary of State (if she had a shot at the White House), which is a not cool.

I am glad that Obama spoke up however, to consider her position as "Bush Cheney lite," which totally ruffled the feathers of the ole gal.

So says you? How do you feel about all of this?

Do you believe the mesh of tales that are perpetrating the media; are we are being deployed to the shores of Iran as we speak?

I have heard from one source that we have assets near their shores. Don't know if I believe this president is that stupid, even though he is known for stupid decisions.

So says you?

So I am turning 18 in 2008 and have every intention of voting. Ever since I first heard Barack Obama's name and started listening to his campaigns I decided that I really liked him and wanted to vote for him, and in doing my research I haven't found anything wrong [yet] with his views or what is wrong.
I am strongly for Gay Marriages but I have given up hope on any strong candidates truly going for that. I am pro-choice. I want our troops out of Iraq. I want the country to become energy efficient and to fight poverty all over the world.
Can anyone who reads this give me strong reasoning for why they think he should or should not be the next president? I want to be challenged with this and I want solid facts. Even if it is only one vote I do take it very seriously. Thank you in advance :]

Do they really care about the public interest on Yahoo!, or is it another case of "He did it, now I have to also" Are they just trying to appeal to the youth voters? Just in it for free publicity?

Opinions please ;)

Just a theorhetical question. I'm curious to hear what you think. Just in case you don't understand, an example:

A man votes in a national election. After he leaves the polling site, he dies.

I'm not asking the legality of it, I'm asking, what do you personally think?

And also, don't feel bad for the guy. This question is the same as asking should a person's vote be counted if they move to a new country before the end of polling.
