Do they really care about the public interest on Yahoo!, or is it another case of "He did it, now I have to also" Are they just trying to appeal to the youth voters? Just in it for free publicity?

Opinions please ;)

Firstly, and I mean this with all respect, if they were searching Yahoo Answers for ideas in their campaigns they should never be President of the United States. This is certainly NOT the place for a future President of the United States to spend their time, nor is it a place to find the solutions to the nations (or worlds) problems.

Secondly, again with respect, and trying to not be too cynical, these candidates do not look over the questions, or the answers to their questions. Some college kid working for the campaign does that. It is simply a means to get people interested and talking about their candidate and their issues.

I believe politicians care... about themselves. On the recent amnesty issue, the bill did pass because several angry Americans mailed, e mailed, and called in threatening not to vote for any candidate supporting the amnesty bill. Therefore, the bill was not passed and we were all labeled racists by Kennedy.

So posting on here to see what people are thinking may help politicians plan their next strategy.

P.S. I know you said Presidents in your question but I think all politicians fall under this category (if you haven't guess that already). :-)

You may be surprised, but some people from political campaigns may actually check these things out from time to time to gauge the mood of the public. They may even be posting here for all we know!

Candidates are using anything to get the votes including the online tactics on the internet.

VOTE for your choice as US President on my 360 degrees blog and know who will likely win.

Actually, this is an arena for due diligence. With enough of us searching and conversing the possibilities, eventually, when the voting days come about. We will know for sure who we want to vote for. But, for sure, you know that; and you are attempting to stop the due diligence. Got it. (smile) What camp are you working for? That's the question I pose to you.
