You never know, the USA has done many dumb things, but if someone or some country attacks USA with nuclear weapons first and we respond with nuclear weapons, well there you have a nuclear war. If the USA sends the first warheads in an attack who knows what could happen as many many countries currently possess nuclear capability. In fact even since the early 1960's nuclear bombs have the ability to kill everyone on earth many times over in mutually assured destruction. So if humanity wishes to destroy itself it can surely hurry things along allot faster than possible global warming. Even the leaders of governments probably don't see too much future in destroying humankind, because for one-- they would be out of a job beside the fact they will be dead too!!!

After six plus years of lies and innuendo, you neo-cons are still convinced that Bush is telling us the truth about Iran?
Where's the evidence? And I don't mean some grainy photos, or some annonymous statements from un-named sources.
A republican congressman is sponsoring a bill that would outlaw Bush attacking Iran without clear, concise, concrete and verifiable evidence.
You neo-cons in the 29% range that still support this president want to see his ratings drop to 19%, or even 9%?
Allow Bush to escalate this war into Iran and watch him get his bottom dragged out of the White House.

Bush has always wanted to go to war with Iran and I am sure he intends to start one before his term is over. Why in the hell do you think they built 600 concentration camps in America? Foe illegals? I don't think so!
I don't think Bush has any thought of giving up the presidency! He'll declare martial law and a lot of you will be sitting in those 600 camps with no right to be charged with anything, and no right to petition a civil court!
9/11 does not add up and neither does an attack on Iraq, nor will one on Iran! For what, maybe having a bomb in 10 years, or that they are breaking the NPT! Well guess what, so are we!
If someone attacked the US and were killing US citizens I would be making IED's, I would be killing as many of them as I could and I would get them any where I could. And I would take help from anyone wanting to help. Well, that is exactly what is happening in Iraq and we are the invaders. Iraq will NEVER give its oil to the US until every damn one of them is dead!

don't think America will risk it
this situation is ideal for a proxy war, which means that Iran will be able to get Nuclear weapons quite easily.
but then again i think the American government no longer believes they will be subverted through a proxy war after the fall of the USSR.

It is a distinct possibility. Especially if a dove is elected President. The Iranians respect strength and only recognize fear. They have to know that either the US or Israel is ready to give them a permanent orange Afro.
If we get a coward without a backbone they will advance their agenda ala Jimmy Cater.
