Poll: More troops unhappy with Bush’s course in Iraq

By Robert Hodierne
Senior managing editor
The American military — once a staunch supporter of President Bush and the Iraq war — has grown in creasingly pessimistic about chances for victory.

For the first time, more troops disapprove of the president’s han dling of the war than approve of it. Barely one-third of service members approve of the way the president is handling the war, ac cording to the 2006 Military Times Poll.

It's great. I can't wait until the military mutinies and marshall law is declared and there is no army left here to enforce it. By the way I am THE ALL AMERICAN!!!! that is praying for the end times to be here tomorrow!

It's amazing how vocal everyone is about this issue. I think it is amazing how much we go through to get money & support to homeland issues. I think it's more amazing that money & lives can get spent overseas in other countries as though it comes from a money tree or a bottomless well. Perhaps we can set up the democratic system to let Americans vote on a war like we do the President of our country & then we can't have a repeat of the tragedies we face now.

I wouldn't think that that is too accurate; think about it: When we're in Iraq we're not available for polls! I was in Iraq twice, I didn't like being their, but I supported the president's decision.
