i think that there are many things that our founding fathers would disapprove of that we take advantage of everyday...like the freeing of the slaves, women being given the right to vote, heretic (like hindus atheists and muslims) running rampant in america and the very notion of gay civil rights being accepted.
the real question is, why do we hold so much reverence in the words of a group of dead white mysogynist slave owners? i think weve come a long way from the colonies and should be proud of the acheivements we've made.
as for career politicians, aristocratic governments ride the coattails of monarchy. we may as well call Ted Kennedy the Duke of Boston.
