RON PAUL!!

Mostly because he is the only one that even represents
the constituion which the other faces of Mt. Rushmore
represent.

If you think our country is running along with the
format of the constitution THINK AGAIN!

We are living in a communist country. Sad but
true.

Ron Paul wants us to go back to our roots,
to the way the government USED to be run.

I CHALLENGE all of you to actually READ the
Declaration of Independence, The Constitution,
The Bill of Rights AND The Federalist and Anti-Federalist
papers ( which hold personal writings from the fouders
themselves!)

The Founding Fathers must be rolling in their
graves as we speak.

None of them. Mt Rushmore is designed to honor strong leaders who made significant advances or held our country together in difficult times. I can't see any of today's group making anying close to such a move.

But also, only in retrospect can you really say if a person deserves it. You don't know how great some leaders will be until they have the crisis thrust upon them. Any of the current candidates might, given the circumstances, the challenges, the crisis, become the type of leader worthy of Mt Rushmore. It's just hard to see it now.

Point in fact: nobody gave Lincoln any credit until the civil war broke out. It was only how he handled that crisis that make him Rushmore material: if not for the war, he'd be just another forgotten President. For that kind of honor, the times make the man much more than the man shapes the times.

The only logical answer is none of the above and it would tend to show a persons limited knowledge of history to compare any of these candidates to those on Mt Rushmore.

Mt. Rushmore is a honor. Now they are all candidates...I think it would depend on what they do when in office. A candidate can say whatever they can to win your vote, but true performance is what they do in office.

That is too hard to answer because they haven't even had a chance to do anything yet. Look at Reagan for example. No doubt he would be on Rushmore were it built today for his role in ending the cold war, but nobody would have predicted that in 1980, or even 1988 for that matter.

None. Another face, according to the National Parks Service, cannot be added to Mt. Rushmore without destroying the rest of the monument.

Hillary Clinton. When you think about it; she's in the process of achieving a great many "FIRSTS" in her run for President. And if she ultimately WINS, and does well over the 8 years she's in Office, the sculptors are going to have the PERFECT 21st Century candidate to include among those chiseled male faces on Mount Rushmore! :)

Dennis Kucinich ought to make Mt. Rushmore. He has championed the marginalized and the outcasts during his entire political career. At great personal cost he has devoted his life to public service in the City of Cleveland(poorest in the U.S.) and in the Congress. He has advocated for those disallowed by social convention and popularity. He has stood for equality and justice under the law especially for workers and unions. He has remained "Person-Oriented" rather than "Task-Oriented" and has a staff which works on this strategy. He does what people expect of him.
He has withstood attacks by corporate interests and rabid local radio personalities because of his consistent emphasis on peace advocacy and
social justice. Freedom understood in the Kucinich sense is not just absence of oppression and opposition but rather encouragement for doing the good, the right, the true. He has paid the price for his unpopular principled stands and remains committed to what his inner convictions convince him is right. He has set his face like flint(in the tradition of the prophet Jeremiah) to remain a pioneer rather than a settler. While he could have benefitted from downsizing his vociferous criticism of corporate greed and exploitation of workers he has chosen to bond with those most radically effected by Nafta and other anti-American agendas by identifying with the lower classes. He has risen from the dead on numerous occasions when he lost elections and was written off as irrelevant. I believe his campaign can restore honor and dignity to the Presidency because of his willingness to reason deeply, speak clearly and answer forthrightly on the issues of the 21st century.

None. Mt. Rushmore commemorates leaders and not politicians, which is what every candidate i've looked into seems to be.
