I see
1)Giuliani
2)Thompson
3) McCain
4)Romney.....I don't understand. I know that Obama and Paul are highest in the internet poll, but what about primaries, and opinion? Who will be nominated?

Most news agencies hire a corporation like Gallup who has a definite set of numbers that they call for their polls.
The democratic nomination will be between Billary & Obama.
Thinking the republicans will be between Guiliani & Romney (unless Thompson makes up his mind at some point). Ron Paul if he stays in the race long enough will simply be another Perot - splitting a party & allowing for the other party to win the office.

If I could give Bush is not a conservative multiple thumbs, I would. That was a great response - well worth the read!

Just to reiterate a point already made, public opinion polls sample the general population. Because most people are not paying attention to the candidates, their responses will be based largely upon name recognition. The media is not giving much airtime to Ron Paul, so naturally an everyday person will not know him.

Incidentally, this throws a curious light on the argument that the media ought to not cover him until his general population poll numbers improve. The circular logic in this argument should be apparent. Ron Paul does not poll high in the general population because the media does not cover him. At the same time, the media should not cover him until he places higher in the polls. But I digress.

Meanwhile, self-selected polls such as online polls and star polls sample an entirely different population. These are people who are paying attention to the candidate. That Ron Paul is placing well (and in numerous cases winning) in these polls indicates that he is well received among people who hear him. Especially now that his support is translating into strong showing in polls that require physical presence (blasting the *always unsubstantiated* spamming charges), Ron Paul should be news worthy. And to be fair, I think that some media sources are starting to give him a fair shake.

I just want to take a last shot at the public opinion polls. They are often called "scientific" polls. Given that the general population will not vote in the primaries (<10% of the population will likely vote), how scientific is a poll that does not sample the pertinent population???

Ron Paul has an somewhat small yet dedicated following. His perspectives at the instant are not likely republican and that i've got faith he's merely working as a republican for occasion help money. His perspectives do mirror those of the founding fathers extra heavily than any of the different republican applicants. i theory Tancredo's statements have been extra per my own ideals, i'm hoping to hearken to extra from him interior the close to destiny. pollresults could be very deceptive, you are able to incredibly desire to evaluate who's polling and why are they polling. statistics can constantly be interpreted in many procedures. i'm confident Dr. Paul's marketing campaign could desire to apply extra volunteers to unfold the word and getting extra in contact in politics will make the election recommend lots extra to you. Even in a loss, you will comprehend YOU individually did something to help your u . s . a . by skill of working for human beings you comprehend will make a good distinction. it is a lot extra important than merely plastering a decal on your automobile or ranting on insignificant web content.

Mitt Romney's campaign only had 35 percent more cash than Ron Paul after subtracting debts on 6/30/2007.
I do not think Ron Paul plans to spend much money until October, November, and December when more people are ready to think about politics.

Ron Paul has received more donations from military personnel and veterans than any other candidate.

On July 15th, the Federal Election Commission announced the 2nd-quarter fundraising totals for each presidential candidate. In the Republican field, Ron Paul's $2.4 million placed him:
3rd in total receipts for the quarter
4th in total receipts to date
3rd in total current assets (ahead of former front-runner John McCain, and just $800,000 behind Mitt Romney)
Thus far, 47% of the contributions made to Ron Paul's campaign are donations of under $200 from individuals (John McCain's 17% is the second-highest percentage). This is a telling statistic, as it highlights the fact that most other candidates rely heavily upon donations from corporate interests and political action committees (PACs) (i.e. moneyed, influence-seeking sources who can readily afford to contribute large sums). Since Congressman Paul has always voted against special favors and privileges for anyone, special interests know they have nothing to gain by stuffing Ron Paul's campaign coffers. As one member of my local Meetup group put it on a home-made sign, "Ron Paul is thin because he won't let special interests buy him lunch."

Among all candidates, Dr. Paul is now first in total donations from military personnel and veterans. While this may come as a surprise to some, Tom Engelhardt identified the primary reason when he asked rhetorically, "why should (military personnel) want to be endlessly redeployed to a lost war in a lost land?" (see Why the US Military Loves Ron Paul).
Why, indeed – President Paul would bring them home now.

Polls are contrived, and designed to get the answer the pollsters want. Ron Paul is the only honest person running for president. Obama is a fraud, however, the populace is duped and never does serious investigation of the candidates. Make a request to the Vital Statistics Department, Honolulu,Hawaii, and request a copy of Baracka Hussein Obama's birth certificate. Obtain a copy of Rezko's indictment from the District Attorney in Chicago, Illinois,or the U.S. Attorney in Chicago, Illinois. Obama "bought" property from Rezko's wife in a "bargain" deal! Wake up electorate, and investigate the candidates!

The Media experts want their candidates to advance and not someone they consider a new comer like Ron Paul. What I see happening is every time Americans view him, as articulate as he is and as correct as he is he gains popularity.

No one should be nominated until a year from now right ?

Let me spell it out for you:

If I paid you say, $10,000 to never say anything positive about someone, I'm gonna guess, 98% of Americans would take me up on the offer.

Money talks even if it HIDES the truth!

Ron Paul unfortunately for him, plays a different game!

He wants to get elected on his merits, and fortunately his grass roots supporters are hearing his messages and supporting him.

Ron Paul will be nominated!!!! Bet On IT!!!

I haven't trusted polling for years, and now it's finally dawning on everyone what a sham it is. I've heard some news on the net that Dr. Paul has won several straw polls, never once heard it reported in a traditional format though. Thank god for the net!
