i have found it interesting in the last 3 decades that voting has become more of a 'business' than a priviledge...thus the question.

After hearing 'war stories' from soldiers/sailors who served in the Middle East about their absentee ballots, I would like to know if the military summarily looks at the ballots before submitting them to the local electorate? Remember the whole Florida fiasco in 2000 when a great deal of military absentee ballots were discarded, possibly affecting the outcome of the election.

I can't figure out, why this people, mostly close to retirement age, are willing to go through this stress marathon to get a chance for an election? It can be for the money, most are already rich beyond perversion. They lie, make false promises, spend 18 hours a day on the campaing trail, kill their health, what for? Is it for power?
What is your thought?

Shouldn't majority rule. so if you live in a less populated state your vote doesn't count as much with the electoral system.

Do these dolts get the fact that it's not about party, but rather about intregity?

It really sucks that their votes count as much as an informed citizen. Guess what, Democrats - you don't have to vote for Hillary just because you're a left winger. And guess what, Republicans - you don't have to pick Rudy just because you're a right winger.

Grow a brain if you want to vote. You are an embarrassment to America.

we were "sure" that they have nuke or chemical weappons. If so: would comander and cheif send more than 100.000 ground troops straight to their death? Sadam would never hesitate to use those "WMD" against our troops?
I have 2 questions:
1. Did government care about American lives? or
2. The government was sure that there were no WMD in Iraq and government misslead American people for some other reason ( OIL? or PNAC?)

Senator Kucinich has proposed a Department of Peace... to study ways of interacting globally with diplomacy. We already spend trillions of dollars on the War Department.. and nobody's saying we'd dismantle our defenses.. tell me what is so stupid about trying to plan for peace? Maybe its time we grow up, leave the cave behind, and stop hitting each other with sticks and stones. We live in a very small, very fragile world and war takes our youngest and best hope for the future

I don't understand it, please help me.

Dr. Paul is running for President, promises to get rid of the IRS, never voted to raise taxes, voted against the "Patriot" Act and was one of the few Congressmen who voted against "Operation Iraqi Freedom" from the every beginning.

So, are the American people asleep? Just the promise of getting rid of the IRS should be enough to win him the presidency.

So, why is Dr. Paul considered a "long shot" candidate with a political platform that should appeal to most Americans?

I see all this hubbub and high polling numbers for Fred Thompson but I have yet to see any info regarding his views, plans, policies, etc. Are you supporting him because he's an actor on Law and Order and Hunt for Red October or his politics? Please explain exactly why you support him and what his views are because I cant find anything about how he wants to actually run this country if elected.

FB&CI = Faith Based & Community Initiatives. I believe as one nation under God, Mr. Bush did a great deed to establish FB&CI to promote faith in America and keep America standing on the rock of God. For abortion of which I am against, it is murder when semen and egg concieve a life has started and the bible says "thou shall not murder". That is the 5th commandment on the 10 commandments. I believe it is injustice for that life and not liberty at all. For same sex marriage, of which I am against as well, the bible teaches against it in 1st Chronicles 6:9. Homosexuality doesn't reproduce the human race. If God had meant for homosexuality would he had given Adam another man. There are many things I think could be established while Bush is still in command. P.S. I truly believe as the bible says a marriage should only be a union between one woman and one man.

Clinton,Obama, John & Mitt are only concerned about keeping International Bankers protected to continue their Financial control over America through the Federal Reserve Banking system.

The Council on Foreign Relations from its inception was started by the financial interest of these same wealthy bankers at the expense of "We the People" and continues to broaden its global sphere of influence.

They raise money as a God for the masses to worship and consumerism for the ignorant to praise.

Everyone has a life to lead with relationships, children, school, career...

This is what they count on to succeed in taking everything from you.

Their corporate paymasters enslave us through taxes, interest & penalty fees.

Consider the income to energy, housing & transportation ratio for the average American working class family?

Hard work and saving your money used to be enough to enjoy the American Dream, but if this continues will your childern even be able to dream?

Imagine, if you will, that for some unforeseen reason, Hillary dropped out of the Presidential race! Picture it in your mind. What do YOU think the scenario then would be ????

How could anyone oppose any view of Dr. Ron Paul who has sternly held his same views time and time again. This man is out to ABOLISH the IRS and Federal Reserve. That alone should get Ron overwhelmingly elected. That would mean that the illegal income tax you willingly pay now would be abolished along with any rights the IRS thinks they have to come and steal your things if you do not BOW to them! That also means that our Treasury could go back to printing currency based on the gold and silver we have in reserve instead of our economy growing deeper in debt to the World Bankers (A/K/A Federal Reserve) and other world governments we BORROW from. He will replace the IRS and Federal Reserve with NOTHING!!! That's my kind of president!!!

This man is the ONLY candidate that I have seen that has out right spoken against BIG GOVERNMENT and declared to trim it down a bit.
