She was one of the 16 Senators who votes against the Vitter Amendment, which prohibits the confiscation of lawfully-held firearms during a disaster.

Luckily, the Amendment passes 84 vs. 16. But every time there's been a law attempting to curtail the Second Amendment, Hillary has been behind it. See:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Political_views_of_Hillary_Rodham_Clinton#Gun_control

If she is elected, she will keep trying to confiscate lawfully-held firearms, you can count on that.

How does that affect your position with respect to her?

In a world that is neck deep in the Information Age, computers in nearly every household in America and if not at the local libraries someone please try, though practically impossible, to explain why we still need the "Electoral Vote". Because you see the idea behind the electoral vote is that your vote will count and effect how the electoral vote is cast; Yeah......Right. If you believe that, than you probably believe that politicians are honest and that your government would never lie to you. Anyway without getting too far off topic I would love to see what the average "joe" thinks of the "Electoral Vote", its validity, and usefullness in the 21st century.

I was also wondering if Guiliani would be our first Italian president. He was really a rock for the New Yorkers after 9/11, and he seems like a good choice for president. He's not only popular with Republicans, but also with moderates, which is crucial. For some reason, Mrs. Clinton was surprisingly quiet after 9/11. Not sure why. She went out of the way to become a senator in NY, but had so little to say when her state needed her most.

I know this has been asked, my question is not if we are ready in the sense that they are capable.... I think we all believe that a Woman and or African American ( or any other minority for that matter) are certainly capable, and could excel as President... My question is , do you think we have evolved enough as a society for them to win? After all we are not that far removed for lynchings, and the suffrage movement. I wonder how many good ole boys and rednecks regardless of their political views, would vote Republican just to Stop Obama or Clinton from winning?

When will the stupid Americans vote their own interests as understood and expressed by the candidates, rather than this ridiculous made-for-TV personality contest?

For example Hillary Clinton promises major health-care reform. How can anybody oppose that because they "just hate her" her hairdo or voice?
Oppose or favor it for practical and political reasons.

How can you vow to not vote for someone because they are a black man or a woman?

The stupidity of the American voter knows no bounds.

My idea is to weed out the politically ignorant that cancel my vote. Require high school graduates know the Constitution in order to graduate. Then require a high school diploma in order to vote. This would truly preserve voting rights.

Who would you personally vote for as President? I am undecided, but I think that the Democrats will likely win the White House, what with George Bush's impact on the American people...

I do not personally have any ties toward either party. Just wondering who you think is the best candidate and why.

Thank you in advance.

If he were to run, could he take it all? I heard the Dems fear only him as a possible candidate because he could solidify the conservative base. Is that true?
