Elections - November 2006

[Selected]: All categories Politics & Government Elections

We are the people of the world and we should have a say in what goes on in this world in which we live. We have seen how governments protect the rights of big business to prosper. We have seen how they have created wars we they thought weapons of mass destruction existed when they didn't. Who knows better them or us? We are the people, we should rule. Have we not seen how they influence the vote? Have we not seen how they create agents who work for them then turn bad? Have we not seen how they attempt to kill other leaders who don't do as they say? We are the people, the internet has given us the power to influence how the world works. We can now make the rules by what WE say and not how they say we say. We are the people and WE can now determine how this world should be run instead of some bongo in North Korea, who was never the people's choice. The world is changing and now we are open for nominations for President of the world. Who do you nominated to rule?

Has anyone else gotten the fax on this yet? I'm still looking for mine but I've already started signaling that Cheney must go next to my liberal friends. We are the compassionate Republicans!!!

Allen's funny labels of non-whites and Santorum's hatred of all things non-white, non-hetero just remind me of how far you can go in life as a human being if just given the right opportunities.

What will George and Rick do now?

I kept hearing that the election of congressmen were dependent less on people's preferences and more on each party's turnout. So was the turnout for either party greater than what was expected?

I've met some highly intelligent teenagers and believe they are very socially conscious. I think the voting age should be lowered to age 16. What do you think, and why?

Here's what I think.

I don't think it was. Of course this is just pure speculation, but he or she used more than one rare stamp. I wish this article would have said from what years, but on the 1918 upside down Jenney - I think it could have been for good luck. The 1918 senate elections were very close, with Republicans gaining control with a very small minority - 49-47 out of ninety-six possible seats. The Republicans also took control of that house that year, by taking 25 new seats. People were not happy with the Woodrow Wilson and US involvement in WWI. Coincidence? In addition, the nineteen-eighteen mid-term house and senate election was during Wilson's second presidential term. Coincidence? Perhaps the mailer forsaw the situation would be flipped, like Jenney, for our 2006 election occuring under similar circumstances. What do you think?

It's our sons and daughters that get killed on someones say so with less than fifty percent of the PEOPLES vote to get them in power!
I think that seperate votes should be used on issues like going to war with another country.

I see from news reports the democrats are going to do the same thing the republicans did in 04. They are going to hold hearing after hearing so nothing gets done. If this happens who are they going to blame in 08 when they lose because they had their chance &did nothing.. Did we elect them to get revenge for what the republicans did in 04 or did we elect them to do the job they were sent there for, to Govern.

The polls indicate that 86% of Americans are asking for impeachment, and that the Democrats are saying "no".The Dems want to pursue other more important issues. I am curious to know what Americans think will eventually happen with this issue...if anything and why...thanks
