I frankly am amazed to find out today that Miller is paying for pro-illegal-alien marchers to protest at the offices of U.S. Speaker of the House Hastert because he has blocked the Senate's amnesty all summer.

The majority of Board members for Milller are all avowed Left Wing Liberal Deomcrats.

The background is that the illegal-alien marchers last spring discovered that Miller had given a small campaign contribution to a fellow Wisconsin resident, Rep. Sensenbrenner, who was the father of the H.R. 4437 enforcement bill that the marchers were protesting.

The marchers called for a nationwide Hispanic boycott of Miller beer.

Miller immediately caved and said their corporation is against H.R. 4437.

Now, it seems that Miller thinks it has more to gain from illegal alien supporters than from the majority of Americans who want illegal immigration ended (and unrewarded). Just read the Tribune story. You'll be amazed.

What say you?

I personally hold "people power"to be the main cure for most social problems, such as street crime, deaths by exposure, sex offences,wife-beating,the list goes on.Therefore I am starting a political party advocating this. Those with me say "aye!" -those agin me,say"nay!"

When will America be tired of bring sooo fat?

This is really beyond reasonable. This country is full of some very very very fat people!

I'm 6'1" 170lbs so I'm far from fitting in that category.

So for all you big fat people what's your excuse? Your really making our country look bad.
I spend time in Europe and when I'm there you can spot the Americans from a mile away! Simply huge and oh so nasty and gross! And it's getting to the point where we have to have fat acceptance??? Like it's some sort of disease! Granted some people do suffer from gland problems or whatever. But most of you, I'd say are lazy and stupid. Your making people rich with you gluttony.

For you big fat Christians and Jews isn't gluttony a sin??

I have been a registered voter and a licensed driver for over 25 years in FL. My last name starts with "K". I have never been called for jury duty. Someone told me they start with the beginning of the alphabet every year and sometimes never get past D or E. Someone else told me I must be on a blacklist somewhere? Has this happened to anyone else? Does anyone know how this works?

Ok, so this red state/blue state thing has gone too far. NPR used the term "red state" to describe Utah! Yes, I know it was 74% Republican in the 2004 election, but when did the GOP adopt red as it's "colors?" I don't recall the Democrats ever waving blue flags at a rally. Aren't most Americans supposed to be "purple?" Look, anyone who pulls a politcal party's line (ANY political part) just because it's the party they belong to is doing the whole country a disservice. It's the duty of every citizen to access each issue individually and choose accordingly. It's ok to want our troops to come back home AND make sure we leave a better situation then what we came into. I'm sure there are people out there who are for prayer in school, but also want to see stem cell research expanded.

So here's my question: Why has the middle ground dissapeared? Can't somebody be a fiscal conservative AND a social liberal? Where have the Moderates gone?

ok, so i know why they are picketing, but i mean come on, do they really think picketing is gonna stop everyone from buying cheap food, clothes, etc... the fact of the matter is that they are fighting the wrong people, (the buyers) when in fact they should be fighting the people who work there. i mean think about it, if you took away the employee's, then what is wal-mart to do? cave in to the demands of the employee's, duh. as far as the buyers, or consumers, heck, im sorry about thier healthcare, etc... but i need to save my cash just as much as the next guy, and wal-mart is the place to shop.

1) Getting the popular vote is not enough to win the election, like we saw in Election 2000.

2) The majority may like the democrats, but we have to get most of the Conservative Red states Electoral votes to win the election hands down without any controversies.

3) We have to be sure the American people agree with our ideas for America's future.

What do you think?

I don't want slander or fighting, just real answers about what real-life issues affect your decision the most when deciding who to vote for AND how you gague whether the candidates are giving you what you want in those areas. As an afterthought, I'm also interested to know what party you think matches your values best, if any party does, and why.

This can be for local, state or national races. I encourage you to provide links to reputable sources containing information related to your answer.

Historians will certainly agree that there are many similarities with the economy, the legal system, the people's attitude, the war machine, the aggression, the religious and political attitudes, finances, external attitudes of us, restrictive internal rules and regulations, camps, etc. etc. that parallel Germany's rise to power.

My question is this: At what stage is the Government? and at what stage is the American people at,... to accepting this form of political distraction, that it is willing to abandon the Republic and its own constitution of these united States that it would ignore all the obvious signs around it now present, in all phases of its existence.

Those who read the Bible, can see the Rise (and Fall of this Fourth Reich), and therefore, know "the rest of the story" as Mr. Paul Harvey says. This is Satan's last bid for the role as the God he can never be, for he was defeated at Calvary. From a historian's point of view, I want to know where you think we are now?
