Historians will certainly agree that there are many similarities with the economy, the legal system, the people's attitude, the war machine, the aggression, the religious and political attitudes, finances, external attitudes of us, restrictive internal rules and regulations, camps, etc. etc. that parallel Germany's rise to power.

My question is this: At what stage is the Government? and at what stage is the American people at,... to accepting this form of political distraction, that it is willing to abandon the Republic and its own constitution of these united States that it would ignore all the obvious signs around it now present, in all phases of its existence.

Those who read the Bible, can see the Rise (and Fall of this Fourth Reich), and therefore, know "the rest of the story" as Mr. Paul Harvey says. This is Satan's last bid for the role as the God he can never be, for he was defeated at Calvary. From a historian's point of view, I want to know where you think we are now?

Felix is right on folks. I concur. History does not necessarily repeat itself, only if we allow things to go wrong that went wrong before. The price of peace is constant vigilance. My question remains, since the latter is not evident, and since we have allowed much and done nothing to stop this machine. and

neil r is right also. Thank you. My oversight in leaving Rome out of this parallel. They certainly were the forerunners in all that has gone down. ...particularly in light of the fact that this country has been operating under Cicero's Roman Civil Law ever since the War of Aggression that torn this nation apart 143 years ago. and you thought the Constitution of these united States was still in tact? Felix, where was that "constant vigilance" way back then? They usurped our laws right under our noses, and we have been living in delusion ever since. Doubt me? Try to pay a fine in a Civil court with Constitutional money, ie. silver. You will be thrown out or held in contempt.

Leogirl0804 thinks I am stretching it a bit when I contend that America is on the brink of a whole new era, working toward that end, and right below our noses. Perhaps this recent article will bring her round full circle and up to speed on just what IS afoot in the land.

History repeats itself when you allow it to or you (the people) turn a deaf ear to the happenings. I think the US citizens are very alert to sense the happenings and are up there to thwart any such happening. For the world order too, it should not happen. History would not repeat itself, in the present case.

Government stages are usually where the governed public accepts them to be. When Government practices exceed expectations the public tends to become violent.

Right now we seem to be at the excess stage; where there is food the public wants to eat it all, drink it all and waste it all.

Where there is pleasure, the Public wants all the fun, all the games, all the sex and all the merriment.

Where there is corruption, the Public wants all the controls they can avoid and all the enrichment they can grab.

How long we stay at this stage depends upon the number of people who have remained , willfully, untainted.

Does Sodom and Gomorrah strike a tone?

The final phase of the civilization under which people are restricted and controlled by a material environment from which they cannot escape, and under which they cannot utilize human thought and intellectual power to change environment and improve conditions, is the civilization of a lazy and non progressive people. It is a truly materialistic civilization on it's final phase.

No,
This country is more like the Roman empire. We no longer make what we need, we buy it. If we are not at war then there is no money flow. We command the greatest Army but it is spread to thin. We control the actions of a lot of other country's but most of them hate us. Our Roman Senators don't listen or care about what the people say or need.
And yes, Hannibal is at the gates, on the southern gates. At anytime armed conflict could start in Mexico and spread into the US. backed by Chile.
As our President watches the US burn, we will go the same way as the Roman Empire.

It is amazing that you are able to type with your heart bleeding so badly. Besides, IF you would read the Bible, Satan will be defeated when Jesus RETURNS. Which can't be soon enough for me. And, the Bible says the Beast and the False Prophet come out of Europe. The anti-Christ, the middle east. Read, before you babble.

It is said that ''Lest we forget, history is bound to repeat itself''. History does not necessarily repeat itself, only if we allow things to go wrong that went wrong before. The price of peace is constant vigilance. Get you sayings right!!
