Verizon Employees are collecting call data and maybe sharing personal information with other employees or the NSA.

Should this be illegal and tell me what you think?

It's not just Verizon. All of the carriers do this. If you don't want your data submitted, don't use a cell phone.

All phone companies collect call data, it's called CDR (call detail records), it's how they charge you for phone usage.

It's ok for them to give the NSA or FBI that information, if there is a warrant, but some of these companies are just handing it over to them. I think it should be against the law, and we should start a class action suit if we find this out for sure.

Turn in your cellphone & no one will know what numbers you are calling. I could care less who has the phone numbers I call, I do not call anyone I need to hide. I do want to fly to see my children & I want to arrive with all my body parts intact.
No it should not be illegal - I want to be safe & such a tiny freedom I can live without to be safe. They are not listening in unless you are calling the known terrorist or someone who is making many trips to Middle east. Most of us would bore them to death. It is working that is how the UK stopped the last terrorist attack. Would you rather see someone die to protect your phone call numbers?

You don't have a clue as to what the hell you are talking about. Rather than making blanket accusations could you provide some sources rather than what you read in the news (which often enough anymore is based on hearsay rather than facts).
